What level do you think would be good for my pokemon to have when I challenge the Elite Four in Diamond?

I've defeated the Elite Four with a Level 62 Empoleon, a Level 55 Staraptor, a Level 24 Roselia and many, many Hyper Potions, Full Heals and Revives.^^
But if you don't want to spend all your pokedollars, I would suggest you to have at least one Pokemon at Level 70.

Ouch.... I have:

Tentacruel, lv. 43

Golbat, lv. 46

Dialga, 53

Staraptor, lv. 45

Torterra, 54

Steelix, 47

This is gonna be a whole lot of leveling....

I managed to beat them in the level 45-50 range. They aren't hard that much if you think about it. I had Pokemon of one of each type though in my party however.

Ah, I keep getting knocked out by Lucian. I've battled them a couple of times to gain experience, because it gets boring only battling wild pokemon, but I haven't beaten Lucian yet. I need a fire type, but I don't have one....

It's okay, it's not your fault you didn't take Chimchar, and realize the only other fire-types are Ponyta and Rapidash. Rapidash sucks anyway. I suggest getting a Crobat, and to KO Bronzong, first use Staraptor's Close Combat. Then, finish with Dialga's Roar of Time and switch out.

Okay... That might be a bit difficult.... I've got a feeling that my pokemon don't like me too much... I let them faint a lot... Oh well. I'll try with the strategy, just not using a crobat, with a golbat in it's place....

I think challenging them with Pokemon that are even 10 to 15 levels lower than your opponent's is okay. Just be sure that your party is well-balanced and that you have a whole bunch of revives, full heals, potions, etc. xD

That's what I did.
