Everybody got their general tastes in music, but at any given moment there can be one genre that stands out to you. Whether it's a genre you've been listening to for a long time, one you discovered recently or a blast from the past. What kind of music genres are enjoying at the moment?

I've been into hip hop for quite a while (mostly older stuff) and just a couple days I started listening to German language hip hop. I never really paid much attention to German music before, but in this case I took a liking to it very quickly. Good hip hop is good hip hop, no matter what language I think. This track about Salzburg I especially liked. Other than that I'm listening to downtempo music as well to relax.

Also, you know we're finally here right?

My taste in music is all over the place. I’ll have phases where I listen to grunge and I’ll move onto country shortly after. The only genre I won’t listen to is rap. It’s just not my thing.

I've been really into metal and j-rock lately, though that's been the case for most of my life lol. I can listen to most genres though, with the exception of more abstract genres like noise or glitch or those types of things. Rap is also one I can listen to though it's lower in my favorites list than other genres. And as a rule of thumb, I tend to avoid stuff you might hear on the radio... at least here in the West. I realize it makes me sound like a major weeb... but I am a major weeb, so that makes sense! :enzap:

In general, what I listen to depends on my mood, though. If I'm feeling energized or angry, then metal or electronica will work well. If I'm sad or otherwise going through it, I might go for something slower. If I'm happy or excited, then j-pop or idol music will work well... so on and so forth.

also, I've been so hyperfixated on Bandori that it's kind of all I listen to while on the go, as the examples show lmao

70s rock and pop, 80s pop and rock with female vocals, and yacht rock have been my main genre interests lately.

Im into stuff like electronic music and producers that make their own music such as Grimes, but Im looking for other similar artists to her to break it up a bit. Aside from that,I will listen to about anything as long as it is good. I would say I listen to a lot of pop music and have a few artists there I enjoy that are pretty well known such as Taylor Swift,Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey.

Lately my music taste has been mixes of metal, hard rock, german metal (love rammstein), emo, pop punk. I like loud music as I do daily household tasks and art.

of course there is a soft spot for k-pop as I've been obsessed over the music since I was in early highschool

It is with regret that I must announce that my interest in all-female Japanese rock and metal groups has expanded to an interest in alternative idol groups.

Like you try and tell me this song by DIAVEL isn't a banger, or this one by Kamisama Parade.

I am going to be honest with y'all...some of these groups I have gotten into have like less than 2K subs on YouTube and some haven't even cracked like 1K views on some of their MVs. I think I'm getting into something very niche here.

I’ve been into alt rock, hypercore, and whatever genre Laufey is for the longest time
