I can't play, but I do create music through the use of software. I don't think software counts as an instrument though.

Mayonnaise is not an instrument. Neither is horseradish.

I used to be able to play the piano/keyboard pretty well but I haven't played in years so I suspect i'd no longer have any recollection of it.

I played the piano five years ago, but I still want to get back into it, it's just that I don't have a good keyboard with me right now.

This might sound pathetic, but I can't play any instrument, as I was never taught anything about music. Maybe one day, I might learn how to play one, but until then, I can't say I play any.

I've played piano for about 15 years now (I started enjoying it after about 9)! It's by far my favourite, because of the versatility of music written for it, the great improvisation-ablilty, and most of all, because I've spent so much time on it that I think I'm pretty good at it! It's also the only one I still play on a regular basis.

When I was in high school, I played alto and tenor sax in the jazz band. That was tons of fun, especially playing in a 6 man combo at events and restaurants.

I've also dabbled in guitar for a couple of years, but I can only play very basic things.

I've been playing violin for about 8 years, but I'm not an expert or anything.

I used to play the piano/keyboard pretty well, but I haven't had lessons or played a song for about three years now. I still remember how to read the sheet music, which I suppose is a good thing. I also used to play the trombone about five years ago, but stopped due to a lack of interest. I really want to learn how to play several string instruments though, like the violin, guitar, ukulele, and bass cello. They've always fascinated me and I just love the sound they make. I've thought about trying to teach myself but lack the drive, unfortunately.

This might sound pathetic, but I can't play any instrument, as I was never taught anything about music. Maybe one day, I might learn how to play one, but until then, I can't say I play any.

Nah, that's not pathetic it all. A lot of people don't know anything about playing music and don't for all their lives. Nothing to feel bad about. :~)

Nothing at all, I can't read music

That hasn't stopped the rock 'n' roll. :p

On that note, I've been learning guitar for a little over two years now. I'm like the opposite of my brother, who hasn't even been playing as long as I have, yet he's the one who can play full songs because he just memorizes chords and stuff. I'm the one between us who can actually read music and understand what a time signature is, but I mostly spend my time going up and down my scales and practicing small sections of songs that I like. I can't play any single song in its entirety. Someday, though, I will unleash my skills on the world...

Besides that, I own a G harmonica so I guess you could count that because it's literally impossible to play a wrong note on a harmonica, and I also play a really mean kazoo.

I can play the bass guitar and piano.

Additionally, I can make songs using software too, and I upload them onto my youtube channel.

I play drums and bass guitar and am learning guitar right now! But I am by far best on the drums! Supprised to see no one else said drums yet though

I play the bassoon, and have been for a little over eight years now. But I've been playing musical instruments for nearly fifteen years now - I started on the trumpet, but decided it wasn't for me. Other instruments I love to play are the tenor saxophone and oboe, although I'm yet to truthfully learn them.

Is mayonnaise an instrument?

It's been a long time but I used to play the steelpans/steeldrums and the piano. Had to quit the piano because I was way too busy to practice.

I used to play the trumpet. I think I could still play it now, just not very well.

I really don't play instruments. But I usually follow the drum beat with my mouth a.k.a beatboxing.

I swear, if one more person says "mayonnaise..."

Main instrument is clarinet. I'm one of the best in my county. Other woodwinds I can play are bass clarinet and tenor sexyphone. I can get a sound out of a mellophone and trombone, but I don't know how to play either. I'm also a piano pro, and a novice guitarist.

i play bass guitar in a band. i've only been playing bass guitar for like... a year and a half, maybe, but i'm okay with music so i picked it up pretty fast. i can't sing very well, but i can play the piano decently and i'm not completely useless with a guitar. mostly just bass though, though i will cover for a rhythm guitarist whenever he doesn't show up.
