As we have seen so far, new games always mean Pokemon learns new moves. Be it a Move Tutor (Fire Punch) or a move they previously couldn't learn (Scizor's Bullet Punch), a new main series game gives certain Pokemon new life, in a way. Here, you could talk about:

  • Move Tutors
  • New Level Up Moves
  • New Egg Moves
  • New TMs (if possible)

I will start this topic. Personally, I would like to see Serperior learn some new moves, either through level-up or egg-breeding. Chief among them is Rapid Spin, which the snake looks like it could do. Another is Hurricane, for a similar reason.

A Move Tutor I would love to see return is Synthesis, because it gives all Grass-types a universal recovery move, although I would prefer to see them have other forms of more reliable recovery, like Recover. As for a new Tutor, Icicle Crash would be good, but give it mainly to Ice-types and very few Water-types (like those with an Ice-type, for example Walrein).

I have many requests, but I would like to keep the first post short, so this is what I have so far.

If we get new TMs, then I want Ice/Fire/Thunder punch. Seriously, having them as tutor moves is annoying.

I would like to see Foul Play, Rage Powder, Final Gambit and Simple Beam become tutored moves, if move tutors are returning. They're all interesting new moves with a variety of strategic uses that many more Pokemon could put to good use.
Also ROOST, why it had to go for the horrible Ally Switch I'll never know...

As for level-up/Heart Scale relearning moves, I'm holding out for Shell Smash Samurott and Power whip Simisage. I refuse to believe that Samurott's stat distribution wasn't conceived with Shell Smash in mind, and Simisage's Pokedex entry mentions it attacking by swinging its thorny tail.

outrage, roost, pain split, dark pulse, sleep talk, dragon pulse, earth power, focus punch as move tutors.

As Move Tutors, I like to see the following:

Fire Punch
Ice Punch
Thunderpunch
Dark Pulse
Dragon Pulse
Earth Power
Roost
Icicle Crash
Hurricane
Sleep Talk
Superpower

For egg moves, I think of any right now, but I do like Emboar to learn Dragon Dance via egg move. Serperior learning Aqua Tail and Power Whip as egg moves isn't too farfetch'd either.

Give Lumineon Quiver Dance (Butterfly Dance in Japan), since it's a butterfly fish and all.

Then people will care about it...maybe. :(

Good moves that were TMs: Focus Punch, Giga Drain, Dragon Pulse, Drain Punch, Dark Pulse, Sleep Talk. Give those back in the form of move tutors please.

I want the TM snarl to not be as rare. So we actually get the TM for it instead of breeding Zoroark.

Klingklang needs some more physical moves. Sure, its regular abilities (Plus and Minus) are more geared towards people using it as a special sweeper; but even when they are activated, its special attack stat isn't much higher than its physical attack. Due to that, I know Klingklang will never be amazing competitively (other steel types like Metagross outclass it), but I would at least like it to see some better use in-game, so I would like to see it be given any out of Iron Head, Metal Burst, Rock Slide and Wild Charge.

Then there's Lilligant, who could really need some more type coverage. I really would not mind seeing it learn Power Gem (That would cover most of its weaknesses xD).

Alakazam should get Blizzard as well, for the fun of it. Also, Flare Blitz for Flareon.

Give Flareon... Heat Wave >:)

I want Typhlosion to learn Earth Power and Scald. Earth Power because of the connection to volcanic activity, and Scald I think could also fit well due to geyser's having a relation to volcanic activity as well.

Speaking of Scald, I believe it should be expanded to other Fire types outside of Emboar, but the only Fire types I could see work are Torkoal and Magmortar.

I want more fighting type level up moves for Emboar and Pignite. Hammer Arm and Arm Thrust is a pathetic array of moves for a part fighting. I want Brick Break, Focus Blast and Focus Punch.

Storm Throw. It's about the only time I don't mind critical hits, since it gets them every time and doesn't rely on luck. Moves like Razor Leaf and Karate Chop became a lot less fun to use from Gen II onwards when their critical ratio dropped significantly, but Storm Throw brought back the fun from before without being overpowered. It's also a far better move for breaking through defences that Chip Away.

I think the Pledge moves should be distributed to all Grass, Fire and Water types, not just starters. That way, we can actually use them in game without trading (which frankly, is the only place they're going to actually work). They seem like fun to use, but at the moment you can't take advantage of them without having multiple starters.

I wanna Dark pulse back or night daze to be better distributed. Need a strong dark type move!

I very much agree with this. Probably Dark pulse, as it's 100% accurate, it would be used more than the slightly-more-powerful-but-less-accurate Night Daze.

I don't know how many would agree with me, but we need stealth rock back as a widespread move. In Gen IV they had it as a TM (good, can teach to a lot of different pokemon), but if you didn't have HG/SS, you could only use it once. The Gen V had it available to certain pokemon (Laaaaaame).

The elemental punches obviously need to come back, and maybe also wish, and heal bell.
Ooh, also focus punch, let's get subpunchers back into the game XD
