What nickname do you have to give to a Pokemon because of an unignorable resemblance to a specific historical, literary, movie or videogame character? What Pokemon reminds you of some other person?

For me, you could replace Ganon with Emboar without drastically changing anything and any Carracosta I ever own will be named Winston or Curchill.

I named my Tyranitar Mr. Samuel after my Biology teacher. They share such an uncanny resemblance.

They're both ghostly white with red markings on their body, and both of them look constantly pissed off.

I've named my Smeargle Van Gogh because it is the only pokémon which knows sketch and Van Gogh is an artist and I've named my Palkia Neptune because it is the creator and controller of space in the pokémon world which is similar to being a god of space and it is a water type pokémon and Neptune is the Roman god of the seas.

I once named a hacked Celebi "Rhubard" because, despite it not being shiny, shiny Celebi looks like Rhubarb to me.

Torterra is Great A'Tuin. All it needs is four Donphans and someone to trim the tree.

IT DOES! HOLY CRAP! Patamon is so cool, too! Speaking of digimon, I like that Skymin has Terriermon ears.

LOL, like the Ganon=Emboar thing. For me its naming an Empoleon Emperor.

I named a Slowbro "Ollie" because he reminded me of somebody I know. The guy isn't slow or stupid, but he just likes Slowpoke and Slowbro.

I nicknamed my Empoleon Napoleon once... Not only is the name similar, but they're roughly the same height. *points to Empoleon's trivia on Bulbapedia*

I named my Bisharp Protoman, because he looks a lot like him. If I ever get a Shiny one, I'll call it Megaman.
