I think I'm the only one to support Delia/Norman.
 
Discovery hard to claim

Not necessarily, FV. I have seen some Delia x Norman stories on FF.net and there are quite a few fans who like the idea of Ash turning out to be May's half brother (only because it kills AdvanceShipping as a mainstream ship and parks it in a space next to DaddyShipping :p ).

The Pokémon fandom is so large and so diverse that I doubt that any one fan can claim to have created any ship that has had more than a handfull of followers. Most "discoveries" of potential or actual ships are made by multiple fans more-or-less simultaneously. It then gets down to a race as to who can put a post on a widely-enough read message board to claim credit. :phew:
 
That makes sense. I thought I had made Jimmy/Marina and Tracey/Daisy before finding out that they already existed, (though those two are pretty much canon anyway.)

True. I mean, I Diamondshipped before I even knew what shipping was and didn't know Diamondshipping had a name til I read about it on Blackjack's LJ...

Anyone want to volunteer a name for DominoxMondo? I'm thinking Domondoshipping, but it's rather.. awkward. (I know, the ship is weird, but it's oddly cute.)

For the longest time, I've had bad luck with creating 'ships. For example...

I've given the name Prodigyshipping to Bill x Lanette and was actually writing one-shots about it before someone thought it'd be a good idea and gave it the name Storageshipping/Dotcomshipping. (In fact, it was my list of Bill-related 'ships that was brought up in the discussion thread with the note "someone's already thought of this.")

So, to console myself, I tried to write Bill x Celio (with an emphasis on Celio's implied crush on Bill) while calling it "Seviishipping"... only to find out that people dubbed that something else a few weeks later.

And so, as a last resort (and a joke spawned from one comment I probably shouldn't have made on someone's LiveJournal), I breathed life into Ash x Max, just for the AAML acronym. I was thinking of calling this one Alshipping, but if someone's already thought of a name for it and has listed it already in some sort of board/'ship list, I think I'm just going to curl up in the fetal position for awhile.
 
I created a non-Pokemon ship:

GhostClerkShipping from Hello Dolly: Cornelius Hackl x Barnaby Tucker before they met the girls. I can't help it, they were cute. >.< (I <3 Michael Crawford anyways)
