What Pokemon Did You Think Were Legendary/Mythical?

There are a lot of Pokemon that give off legendary vibes, with many people looking at them and believing they truly were of such a rank. For me personally, Zoroark comes to mind. What Pokemon did you think were legendary/mythical, and would you make them that rank if you had the ability to?

i think this is a pretty common misconception, but i totally though Volcarona was a legendary or mythical as a kid. as for if i think it should be one… not necessarily? I do think it’s strange its as rare as it is for a normal pokemon though.

I personally thought Diance was a mythical for the longest time.

Diancie IS a mythical Pokemon.

Rotom because in DP for whatever reason it had the Legendary music in battle; also Volcarona because it's found in a similar way many legendaries are found (interactable at end of some ruins).

Well, in early days there was no dinstiction between Legendaries and Mythicals. They were all just called Legendaries back then, regardless if they could be caught in-game or via events. It was in later generations that they decided to give to event Pokemon the name Mythical.

To be honest, on that regard, the Pokemon that should be considered Mythical are becoming less, and less, as lately they are more and more becoming catchable in-game. See Deoxys in ORAS and the Switch version of FR/LG, or Keldeo in Sword/Shield; or Manaphy and Arceus in Legend Arceus; or Meloetta in Scarlet/Violet; or... the huge mole of Mythicals they made catchable in the ZA DLC. And if Emerald gets a port too, it's pretty much granted they will make Mew catchable natively as well. Not to mention the Pokemon you can get if you have save files from other games (Darkrai and Shaymin in Legends Arceus, and Mew and Jirachi in BDSP) Really the amount of Mythicals that have become catchable in-game has become so high, that at this point very few ones could be still considered such... pretty much just Celebi, Victini and Zarude are the only ones that can't be caught in-game right now... (Celebi was with the Virtual Console version of Crystal, but since the 3DS e-shop was shutdown, the game is no longer purchasable. And as such there are no ways to catch it in-game right now, unless you still have the game on your 3ds).

I went from being right to being wrong, wow
