This is my very first post on this site and i was wondering what pokemon you would like to see ash to bring to the kalos league ( pokemon from all regions ).

Mine would be.

1. Charizard
2. Bulbasaur
3. Squirtle
4. Hopefully is Pidgeot would return and make its first ever battle in a league.
5. Primeape.
6. Butterfree.
7. Gible.
8. Muk.
9. This one is quite tricky and i doubt it would happen but the Larvitar he was watching back in Johto has evolved into Tyranitar and finds him in Kalos.
10. Lapras.

I know none of them would return like but it would be cool if they did what are your choices?

Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charizad, Primeape, Gible and Muk are all possibilites (Primeape and Squirtle are both in training and Squirtle can be recalled at any time, safe to assume Primeape can as well.)

Pidgeot is either just outside of Pallet or back in Viridian Forest. Either way, it most likely keeps in touch with Ash's other Pokémon in Pallet Town and could probably be found and reunited with Ash if Ash really wanted to (according to anime novelizations, Ash reunited with Pidgeot after returning from the Orange Islands, so it very well could come back!)

Butterfree is my dream reunion since it and Pidgeot were unfairly let go without enough character development...

Lapras and Larvitar are both in Johto. They're as likely to return as Haunter is, honestly. (Seriously, Ash needs to call Sabrina. It's been 17 years, if she can't live without Haunter for the length of a league, she DESERVES to turn into that evil creature again!)

But my ideal Kalos team would probably be:

Pikachu
Butterfree
Pidgeot
Bulbasaur
Charizard
Squirtle

Since all of his team members are actually found in Kalos in their basic stages (minus Pichu!), then this would be the perfect opportunity to bring them all back together. Butterfree and his Pink wife can move into Oak's lab's wide, gorgeous fields and Pinkie could be caught by Ash, and then Pidgeot and his tribe of Pidgey and Pidgeotto could live happily in the Lab as well.

Lizardon, Jukain and Heracros would be very welcomed. I would also like to see Waninoko and Fukamaru evolve, at the very least. should the rival trio participate, Jukain would be a no-brainer for fighting Tierno's Kamex. Having Satoshi's Lizardon battle Trova's would also be a nice way to see two different Mega forms of a Pokemon battle.

I think his Unova team need another go at it - though obviously not all of them as he has way too many Pokemon for that, but it's where I'd like to see the bulk of any returning Pokemon come from. Just about all his other Pokemon have had pretty good league appearances - and most of them have had good amounts of screen time. Obviously Kanto/Hoenn/Sinnoh are the best for both strength and nostalgia - but I'd like some slight evening out of how he uses his teams.

I do however hope that the real big returns come when the Ash has won the league and then can go on and make type based teams to take on the different members of the elite four. This is basically just ordering his Pokemon by type with a very tiny glance at who the opposing Pokemon are - but:

Malva - Buizel, Totodile, Greninja, Palpitoad, Krookodile, Gliscor
Siebold - Pikachu, Sceptile, Snivy, Torterra, Bulbasaur, Bayleef
Wikstrom - Charizard, Torkoal, Infernape, Fletchinder, Hawlucha, Pignite
Drasna - Gible, Glalie, Snorlax, Noctowl, Donphan, Boldore (he's a bit weak here - perhaps Ash needs a Fairy-type capture before Kalos ends)

Covers most of his Pokemon in a few battles - give a month of build up for each battle and you can fit in a lot of special training and reunion montages. Though again, I'd rather he just called Oak every month and added one of his reserves to his travelling team to give extra training to, especially where they could help out one of his Kalos Pokemon learn a new move or fight a particular type disadvantage.

But as none of that's going to happen - Buizel.

Part of me wants Ash to do what he did with AG and DP, and simply use the team he's developed across the series...thus far, that being Pikachu, Hawlucha, Froakie and Fletchinder (or whatever evolutionary stage the latter two are at by the time he gets there), plus any other two he catches. That being said, I'd also like to see one of his Pokemon that'd be capable of Mega-Evolving return (so far, that's Charizard, Heracross or Sceptile), for...obvious reasons.

Umm...don't know. Charizard, Primeape, and Squirtle would like to join in.

It's sooo confusing remembering all of Ash's pokemon. And you know what? I think he isn't going to get a mega stone even if I plead for it IMO.

Greninja (hopefully it evolves), Hawlucha, Talonflame, Pikachu would be the four pokemon he'd keep. I'm pretty sure he'd be catching at least one or two pokemons along the way, possibly a Steel-type. Honedge or Klefki, the latter more likely (Ash almost never evolves his pokemons using items, so it's highly unlikely he'd have an Aegislash). He might also catch Bergmite (since Avalugg kinda resembles the 'big tortoise' Ash has on his team, such as Torkoal and Torterra).

I think he might stick with his Kalos team because his current four pokemons make a very good team and they'd really shine at the league much later. Still, if he were to bring back some old friends for the league, I'd say Sceptile for Mega evolution, and possibly Krookodile the powerhouse of the Unova team.

Assuming Ash does use reserves this league - there's really no telling either way at this point - any of them will do, really. But I especially hope Pokes who haven't battled in the longest time out of his reserves get a chance (Kingler, Muk, etc.).

I'd like to see Ash make a real attempt to win it all and go with a team of his real powerhouses.
Charizard, Sceptile, Krookodile, Infernape, Pikachu and Greninja.

I'm not overly interested in his cutesy or quirky Pokemon, I want to see how Ash does with a team of true powerhouses.

M-Charizard and Pikachu should be a given. Both had the most emotional times with Ash, and are usually the best powerhouses, and are the best-known two. Froakie (or Greninja would also be likely as that is Ash's Kalos Starter. Gible (or evolving to Garchomp) would be another good one to address Greninja and Charizard's weakness to Electric type attacks. I cant think of the 5th and 6th. Assuming that Ash will be using reserves, M-Heracross, and Hawlcha.

Lizardon, Jukain and Heracros would be very welcomed. I had to look up all of those names. -.- But you pretty much hit the nail on the head with every choice you made.

Yeah, Ash has 38 Pokémon (not counting his s**t ton of Tauros...) so he could easily showcase all of them in one series if the animators wanted. I've never understood why he doesn't just keep them all in a rotation. Here's some listings of teams he could have:

Current team:
Pikachu, Froakie, Fletchinder, Hawlucha

Team 1 (Kanto):
Bulbasaur, Charizard, Kingler, Muk, Tauros and Snorlax

Team 2 (Johto):
Heracross, Bayleef, Totodile, Quilava, Noctowl and Donphan

Team 3:
Swellow, Sceptile, Corphish, Torkoal, Glalie and Staraptor

Team 4:
Torterra, Infernape, Buizel, Gliscor, Gible and Unfezant

Team 5 (Unova):
Oshawott, Pignite, Snivy, Scraggy, Leavanny and Palpitoad

Team 6:
Boldore, Krookodile, Squirtle, Primeape

So he really has a wide range of types to choose from for his battles.

In case writers decide to surprise us bringing some of Ash older pokemon for Kalos league.

We all know Charizard because of two different ways of mega evolving is almost a secure bet of being used at this league, especially if on opposing side of battling field is another trainer who learned to use mega evolution.

Maybe Sceptile could sneek his way into league as well due to revealed mega evolution form(which btw looks pretty badass imo), being part of plot in helping Ash master power up of his pokemon to whole new level, exceeding beyond current limitations they have. While going in line with upcoming ORAS remakes,

But what about other of Ash long time forgotten pokemon? When will their chance to shine again come and if that day will ever come? Because if not, than i question what was point of giving this pokemon to main character in first place, make us root for them and want to be used in action and fleshed out if they will forever remain forgotten and wasted.Same problem applies to every replaced Ash companion defeating purpose behind their existence if we never see follow up to their stories, enjoy in their characters, antics and fresh new ways to advance them on screen again acknowledging role, impact they left on show.

That said im hoping for this three pokemon to make comeback:
Kingler-arguably one of Ash most brutal pokemon. This arthropod pokemon proved its huge strength in smashing Cloyster armor in Indigo league, defeating all three of Mandi pokemon by himself and stirred up whole battle field in Whirl Cup creating massive line of whirl pooks which defeated Misty Poliwhirl.

But after that? Its like he was dropped from face of earth never being used again which is a really big shame. Kingler is among Ash most powerful water pokemon, if not even most powerful. I think he could be unexpected, confusing surprise to Ash opponents in Kalos league catching them of guard and it would be great seeing him in action again.

Muk-this is another one of those pokemon which got caught, used in only few and far between battles not being seen ever again in any relevant role. After sweeping through Jeanette Belsprout and defeat vs Gary Scizor he was never used in battle ever again. Muk is definitely one of Ash oldest pokemon, but at same time one of who needs some redemption the most. Hopefully 6th generation and Ash's 6th league(counting Orange islands)will be that time bringing new luster to this sludge pokemon. Showing him in new animation, new light, with new learned in meantime attacks and revive some of that older days atmosphere with its presence scoring home run for Ash team.

Because i do miss that pokemon and its wacky personality.

Torterra- if for any reason than to repair bad and bitter image this pokemon tank left on viewers and its credibility as pokemon. Ever since Grotle evolved Torterra lost every consecutive battle(except TR, who lets face it isnt that much of challenge). It was smashed by Bertha Hippowdon, Volkner Electivire and than Paul Drapion maing it seem like evolution leaded to nothing.

Which is sad because Ash rarely receives fully evoloved juggernauts and with all this array of mega evolutions in XY series, Torterra even without mega form could prove to be respectable force to deal with due to big sttrength, resistance and pretty diverse movepool its capable of learning outdoing opponents.

It could also help in Ash becoming better trainer and more perceivable(something E4 member Bertha brought up in DP too), realizing how to maximize Torterra full strength. In productively using heavy, armored like pokemon relying on speed rather than defensive moves and powerful long range attacks adjusting to their new form.

Torterre is definitely on list of neglected and in need for more development pokemon imo.

Obvously there is more pokemon from Oak lab than ones i mentioned which didn't received enough justice if you ask me, but this three i miss and want to see of some use in Kalos the most currently.

Not too many, the main focus should be on his Kalos team.

Guys, we have to be careful with the team selections

Malva's Pyroar, Siebold's Gyarados, Siebold's Barbaracle, Wikstrom's Klefki, Wikstrom's Probopass, Drasna's Dragalge, Drasna's Druddigon, Drasna's Altaria, and Drasna's Noivern might have the moves they know in the games, and thus can turn the tables on the team members, and as for the aforementioned 6 member teams that were listed, there might need to be 4 members instead of 6 to make the fight fair

As far as the Anime is concerned the Elite 4 are irrelevant.
If the writers stick with the same layout they've used previously, Ash will have a few rounds of 3 on 3 matches(typically with type specific fields) and then full 6 on 6 battles against COD's with random teams. Until a rival is introduced, Ash is free to go pretty much any way he wants to with his League team.

I'm fine with Ash going with some specialty teams in the 3 on 3 stage(he could make some very interesting teams for a Sky Battle or water type field). But for the full battles, I want his heavy hitters. It would also be nice if Sceptile got a mini-showcase at the League(including a Mega-Evolution) to promote ORAS.

I'm not too sure. It would be nice to see him mix it up, just like how he did all those other times, and then bring his Kalos team in for the final countdown (which will end up with him not even tasting victory, and then we head for the next gen. yay........ -_-).

I would just LOVE to see Primeape again, maybe even Pidgeot. I'd love for Sabrina to send him Haunter, maybe even it being Gengar when she sends it. I do guess they might have Ash bring all of his Pokemon that have chances of Mega Evolving, or somehting.

Well, Haunter is an iffy case. One episode states he caught it, the very next states he didn't. I guess he could borrow it from Sabrina, but it's implied that if Haunter leaves Sabrina, she'll regress to that demon spawn she used to be. Plus if he could, I'd hope he would've a few times by now.

Primeape is still with Anthony but Ash wouldn't even know where to find him, at all. So Primeape's as good as gone.

Pidgeot is currently in Viridian Forest protecting Pidgey and Pidgeotto from wild Spearow and Fearow. While Oak and Tracey could probably find Pidgeot and convince him to go to Kalos, he's officially released and has no Poké Ball. Ash would have to re-catch it, and would inevitably dump it in Oak's Lab at the end of the league.

I'd want to see Oak'd reserves come back in. Especially Krookodile, he hasn't lost a single battle in that stage.
Even Infernape hasn't managed that.

Torterra can stay out of it though. Bulbasaur, Sceptile, and Snivy are all much better choices.

How about his power houses from each gen? Excluding starters or duplicate typings of course.

Charizard
Heracross
Swellow
Gliscor
Krookodile
Hawlucha
