In this thread, tell us what radio stations you listen to. You can put as many as you want and any genre. Also put the call sign and genre and what they call themselves, if any (i.e. "The Beach, The Best of...). Don't forget to put the areas they serve.

Here's some templates:
FM
000.00 FM KAAA (insert genre here)

AM
0000 AM KAAA

Also, if you listen to XM or stations like 'em, just say so.

Here's mine:
101.7 FM KCDU "The Beach" (Pop)
92.7 FM KTOM (Country)

Both serve the Monterey/Salinas/Santa Cruz area

AM:
  • 790 "News Talk" (news), which is a local station.
FM:
  • 94.1 (I don't know about this one; I rarely listen to it).
  • 95.1 "WZZO", which is a local station (older Rock/modern Rock).
  • 99.9 "The Hawk", which is a local station (Classic Rock).
  • 104.1 "B104", which is a local station (older hits/modern hits).
  • 107.1 "The Bone", which is a local station (older Rock/modern Rock)

^ What do they play? Also, you forgot to put the call signs.

Anything that plays heavy metal.

Which is the reason I usually just take CDs.

FM:

94.5 (JAMN) - Jam'n 94.5, Rap / Hip-Hop / RnB - Boston area
102.9 (PIXY) - PIXY 103, Classic Rock - Cape Cod, MA
100.7 (WZLX) - Boston's best Classic Rock
107.9 (KISS) - Kiss 108, Top 40 radio - Boston, MA

103.1 "The Ticket" (Sporting News)
101.5 "TK 101" (Rock, etc.. music)
96.1 dunno the name (Oldies)

101.9 (The Fox)

Melbourne's number one hit music station!

While at work I'm regularly forced to listen to BBC Radio 2, which I absolutely detest. They play a broad range of pop music from across the decades, which is fine, but the presenters and the people who phone in are normally quite loathsome. :p

At home, I like to listen to Absolute80s, on my DAB digital radio.

I listen to one called "Rádio Nova", or "New Radio" in English. It broadcasts at 98.9 FM. Plays a variety of songs, no specific genre, though they tend to give more love to unknown artists / Jazz and Soul than other stations.

FM:

100.3 Z100(WHTZ) Contemporary hit radio
Wikipedia said:
Z100 is considered the 2nd largest CHR/Top 40 station in the world after BBC Radio 1, pulling in an audience of 5 million daily. Additionally, according to the radio industry website, RadioStats.Net, Z100's site is the most visited US CHR website in the world and, in fact, one of the most frequented radio websites overall. Z100 is also simulcast on XM channel 12.
104.7 K104(WSPK) Contemporary hit radio

other than those two I mostly listen to youtube for my music

FM

97.9 '98 Rock' (Rock)
101.1 'DC 101' (Rock)

I'm surprised I get a Baltimore radio station loud and clear for where I live (over 60 miles from Baltimore), but I'm glad since it gives me variety in my rock. 98 Rock tends to have a more power/heavy metal playlist than DC101 most of the time which I'm happy with.

If I'm in Baltimore, HFS was a popular rock station back in the day that recently came back so I'll tune to 97.5 for that.

I also used to love the Baltimore Jazz station they had, 88.3 I think it was, but it was short range so I couldn't always listen to it outside the area.

I also listen to these on occasion:

94.7 'Fresh FM' (90s/00s/and modern hits)
97.1 'Wash FM' (80s-Today/Light Alternative)
99.5 'Hot 99.5' (Top 40)
101.5 'B 101.5' (Top 40)
107.3 'Mix 107.3' (Alternative)

92.5 WOFX Cincinnati (ROCK)

I also listen to the top40 station sometimes (107.1) and the random 70s station (103.5 WGRR)

Listen to radio? I work at a radio station and work on air on at a college radio station XD

Other than that I listen to

104.7 FM "B104.7" (Country)
105.1 "Wolf 105.1" FM (Country)
95.7 "95X" FM(Rock)
99.5 "TK99" FM(Classic Rock)

101.9 (The Fox)

Melbourne's number one shit music station!
Edited for accuracy.

As for me, I mostly listen to 1116 SEN (Melbourne's home of sport) and occasionally 105.1 Triple M (Rock) and Gold 104.3 (Good times and great classic hits).
