What Role Will Parker Play In DA?

From just the first episode of Decolora Adventures, it seems pretty clear Parker may be playing a major role in this journey.

From what we know about Parker so far:
1. He is the captain of the cruise ship that sails throughout the Decolora Archipelago.
2. He apparently knows everything about the Decolora Archipelago.
3. He may own a Purrloin and a Watchog.

I having a feeling Parker may have some interior motive in the Decolora Islands that is anything but good.

That's pretty much it. He's a recurring character who will appear from time to time to provide Ash and co. with information on the islands and nothing else. I sincerely doubt he has any interior motive as this saga is all about nostalgia-induced comic relief as we prepare for BW trio's last hurrah - like the description on one of the scans said - a saga that is filled with laughter and tears.

If he makes himself more useful, so much the better. But just because someone's in the Opening Theme doesn't mean they'll have a sizable role (right, Cheren?)

Is he Captain I will ask again because he is Confusing me a little bit or is he just a Boat Attendant that will help Ash, Cilan, And Iris during this time or not.
