I'm sure this will end well.

Of the almost 500 episodes of the Pokemon anime that there is, what ship do you think defines the anime overall? It doesn't have to be a canon ship, if you want to simply go for character interaction.

Pokeshipping had the most. No one can argue with that *looks at Scott* please don't. :/

No, it really won't, Scott. xDD; This is soooo gonna turn into a big ol' war. And I don't think Pokeshipping, unless you mean the /dub/ anime overall.

Everybody knows the OTP is Ash/Pikachu.

Krazyshipping. Meowth and Pikachu have interacted in almost every single episode. ;3 It even beats the length of time Pokeshippers got.

Flirtationshipping defines the anime. It's the only one that consistent, persistent, and obvious.

8D No other comes close, and it never, ever will. It's been going strong since the beginning, and you cannot deny it! Considering it's actually apart of an episode's written criteria whenever there's the cute older girl around? No other compares~

That's certainly true but for a defining ship, I have to go with PikaShipping. It's the one big feature of the theme of the relationship between humans and Pokémon.

Contest Shipping seemed pretty real, imo, and looked like the writers attemted to do some form of romance (above the hints of Pokeshipping I remember).

But do PokéShipping or ContestShipping "define" the Pokémon anime?

Well, then none would since the Anime has never been about romance.

It's about friendship, trust, and working toghether.

And fighting.

So rather than looking at what ship has most hints, what ship represents those values? I'm staying with PikaShipping unless someone comes up with a good alternative.

Hm, if you count up the number of Contestshipping moments, does that exceed Pokeshpping?

Not to mention the fact that Contestshipping is STILL happening off-screen even though we don't get to see it, while on the other hand Pokeshipping *isn't* because Ash is traveling and Misty is at the Gym.

Not to mention real hints in Johto were very few and rare to come by. And as the Pokemon episode count continues to climb, Misty will have been in overall less than half of the total Pokemon episodes, (assuming D/P gets almost 200 eps like AG did)

Times are changing, folks. I used to say this while AG was airing, but it holds even more water now in D/P. If this show ended after Johto, then yes, you could say Pokeshipping represents the entire anime. But I don't think you can say that anymore with AG and D/P included.

Tweenshippin :p I have no idea what it means :/

I'll vote for Pokeshipping. The interaction between Ash and Pikachu (*cough* friendly interaction) is more prevalent than any Ash x other girl ship.

Well Pokemon isn't about romance at all. The most romance we got was probably from Contestshipping.

But the one that defines Pokemon would probably be Pikashipping, since Ash is the main character, and Pikachu is his main Pokemon, and they have such a great relationship with each other. And their relationship shows how greatly a human and Pokemon can be together. ...I think thats really the only shipping that defines Pokemon.

I just can't see AshxPikachu. Sorry Ashxpikachu fans :p

Not as romance, of course...though some people may like that kind of stuff. o_O

But as a close friendship bond thingy between them, as trainer/pokemon.

Pikashipping for me! XD But you already know that. :p

I do like Romance with Pikashipping, though only if Pikachu's human. ^^

I'd say Pokeshipping and Palletshipping together, mainly because of the big impact they had on the fandom, back in the day.
