Just like the title says. Which ships have you named, and why?

My list:

InnuendoShipping (DominoxBrock): From Brock's infamously dirty MR pickup line in the dub, "Please, let's find someplace quiet where we can line up and see if we're a match"

ResearcherShipping (SebastianxGiovanni): Because ResearchShipping was taken, and I couldn't think of a clever name for it.

EGLShipping (DominoxMarley): Domino's got EGL (Elegant Gothic Lolita) influence in her design, Marley wears EGL clothes. What else would you call the pairing?

OfficeLadyShipping (GiovannixWendy): Wendy is an example of an office lady. End of story.
 
My first ship name was AgeIsOnlyANumberShipping-Agatha/Max xDD
I think the name is fairly self explanatory...named because it was about 3am and i'd just signed up here, and when I sign up at new forums I get slightly hyper xD
AmorousShipping-Temaku/Brock-named because I saw some pics of Temaku on the pocketmonsters imageboard and felt like naming it.
ClamourShipping-Temaku/James for the same reason...
I think that's it?I named me/Drew as well but I don't think that counts xD
 
I coined the embarassingly crappily named Pikashuushipping - Drew x Pikachu - sry2say. ^^;;;

And a lot of names that have very little reasoning, just named on the spot because I or someone else wanted them named, like, RIGHT NOW. X3
 
Hey, no shame in that.

That's how ResearcherShipping got named. I casually mentioned in the Team Rocket fanclub how cute shipping Sebastian with Giovanni would be, Evil Azurill said it should be a pairing or something to that effect, and bang, we have a pairing.
 
Kidshipping - Mikey/Mahri
Rockkidshipping - Jiro/Janine
Smartkidshipping - Max/Molly

Mikey and Mahri were first hence why they only have Kid attached. Rock and Smart were added cause I group the kidsshippings together but didn't want to give them the same name so I added what they have in common. If the connecting word were ever added to Kidshipping I'd say it should be 'Misty'. Cause IIRC I originally shipped them together cause they both seemed rather fond of Misty. I need to confirm the name and participants of the latter two kidsships, it's been forever since I thought of them so I might have something wrong. XD

Neoeeveeevolutionsshipping - Gary/Sakura
Esp/Umbreon were new back when I named this and Gary and Sakura are two pretty well known recurring characters and have said evos. It's got supporters but that's mostly as an old inside joke at SPPf. Yes, the name is evil but that's the fun of it: no one can spell it right. XD Just a note: Do not abbreviate to 'Eeveeshipping'. Some people try to do so but it's taken (Mikey/Sakura IIRC, I know it's Mikey/somebody).

Mtwinshipping - Tracey/Mondo
Medea and I are twins on SPPf. She made a pic with Tracey and Mondo minisprites, our respective obsessions. Said pic made me decide they'd make a good pairing. I couldn't think of a connection for the characters so decided on one based off their obsessors' connection. XD

I know I helped people name ships but they don't count cause they're not my ships. And I might have named more ships I support but I can't remember what they are or if there even are any.

Haha, Mtwin's only a few months old but I think the others are from 04 (05 at latest). XD
 
I selfishly named Championshipping (Lance x Ash/Red), because I was writing fic for it and needed a name. That and Venomshipping (Koga x Gary/Green) were the first shippings I ever named.
 
Diamondshipping--If I'd known at the time that there was going to be a Diamond game, I'd have named it something else. But my reasoning was that, hey, diamonds are a girl's best friend, and in Live, Giovanni had the Diamondbadge. So that's why it's called that.

Lilacshipping--because of their hair. Combine them and you'd get some sort of purple.

Tulipshipping--Domino is the Black Tulip, and Erika grows flowers. I got the idea for the ship from an RP I'm in. Domino and Erika have declared each other sisters...only Domino has yet to tell her dear sister what she really does (eep). Although that'll be coming shortly.

Allergyshipping--Erika raises the flowers that Kaede is allergic to. So yeah.
 
Uhm...let me see if I can remember.

Ivoryshipping--Giovanni/Koga. All of the names to do with poison were taken, so I called it this because it was said that poison discolored ivory.

Socioshipping--Giovanni/Sabrina. I doubt I have to explain this one.

Geekshipping--Tracey/Shingo. They're both kink of...geeky.

FannedFlamesShipping--Flannery/Winona. All I could think of was a bird's wings fanning flames.

Dollshipping--Giovanni/Mondo. I had NO idea what to call this, so I took it from one of my fic titles. Lame? Yes. Selfish? ...yes.

There may be more, but that's all I can remember.

Returnshipping--Koga/Bruno. In Pokemon Adventures, Koga and Bruno return together after being away for a long time.

BreathShipping--Prima/Clair. Clair's Japanese name, Ibuki, means breath. I figured that some of Prima's pokemon must be able to learn Ice Breath, so there you go.

Beautyshipping--Prima/Sabrina. I just think they are the most beautiful female characters. *Shrugs*.

Mildshipping--Prima/Cheryl. They have mild personalities.

Steelshipping-- Bashou/BusonI can't remember if Blackjack or I named it, but the meaning is obvious.

Traitorshipping--Giovanni/Bishasu. See above.

SacredShipping--Morty/Eusine. Scared bells and dogs and all that shit.

Moltresshipping--Jirarudan/James. The Flaming Moltres. Need I say more?

Youthshipping--Mondo/Bugsy. They're both young men.

HardAsSteelshipping--Giovanni/Buson/Bashou. Self-explanitory.

I always thought FannedFlamesshipping was an awesome name for Flannery x Winona. Still do in fact. ^^

Meanwhile, I'm still wondering why I named Candice x Whiscash Submergeshipping. o_O.
 
Hey. I named Geekshipping.
At least, I think. I paired them, anyway.

But you did coin FannedFlames, which I remember because it was in a convo. Which is the coolest name ever, favored ship aside.

Uh. I named Coalshipping (Roark/Flannery), but only on a whim. I don't actually ship them. More like I just wanted to name my two favorite gym leaders together. And there's a basis, since her torkoal consumes what Roark works with.

I must admit that when I was quite the member of Serebiiforums, I had contributed a number of them. Of course, with me banned, I can't access the site to try and find the names I contributed.

I'll at least do the ones I know from memory.

Overgrowshipping - Ash's Grovyle&Ash's Bayleef - They both hold Overgrow as their ability, though I doubt we've seen Bayleef's take effect.

Refreshshipping - Misty's Psyduck&Tracey's Marill - This is actually one of the more confusing ones. The naming of this shipping started when the viewers of Japan discovered that Tracey's Marill had an egg and it had hatched into an Azurill. This immediately brought forth the truth that Tracey's Marill was female, making her the mother. However, it left EVERYONE with ONE question, who the father was. I was the one who figured it out. I knew there was a reason Tracey gave Misty the egg. Something was up big time! I had concluded that the best reason was that one of Misty's pokemon was the father. However, that questioned to which one. The answer wasn't revealed until a few weeks later when it was discovered that the new Azurill knew Refresh. This was the key that made it possible. There were only two pokemon within Misty's team that had the possibility of knowing Refresh at the time. Which were Psyduck and Corsola. Psyduck was known to be male, (Biggest hint given when he did that movie with a Wigglytuff.) and there were several hints that pointed Corsola to be female. So, it only left Psyduck to be the father. True, we've never seen Psyduck use it, but you can't forget that, with how Psyduck's abilities have been made, he doesn't NEED to. So until he NEEDS to, the name stays. So, in conculsion, since Refresh was the key to it all, it got the honor of being named that.

That's all I know for now. If ANYONE knows of others I've named, that would be helpful right now. -_-
 
Oh jeez, I've named a jillion ships. And by a jillion, I mean 'about thirty five'.
I have a list of all the ones I've named :D

WiggleShipping- Caterpie x Weedle x Wurmple- The first ship I ever named! They're three wiggly bugs, so it made sense to me.

EmberShipping- Charmander x Torchic- someone asked for this ship named and the name was free. That and they both learn the attack.

GreyscaleShipping- Absol x Mightyena- I was going to use YinYang, but it was taken. So Greyscale was a good second, because one's black and the other is white, the two extremes of greyscale.

FrostbiteShipping- Glaceon x Umbreon- Uh, kind of self-explanitory, I hope.

ScorchedSkyShipping- Groudon x Rayquaza- Ahhh, I love this pairing, so I had to name it. Scorched, as in the fiery master of land, Groudon and Sky as in Rayquaza. That and it hints at droughts, like Ruby and Emerald.

LampblackShipping- Sneasel x Seadra- Lampblack is a kind of black ink made from soot.

DisasterSpiritShipping- Flygon x Absol- Hahah, that's their species titles joined together.

ShadowedMindShipping- Mewtwo x Sneasel- Shadowed because of Sneasel, Mind as in Mewtwo.

BenzeneShipping- Ninetales x Nidoqueen- Benzene is a kind of poison which is found in cigarettes, which need fire.

StaticLeafShipping- Leafeon x Jolteon-Uh, I don't think I need to explain this one.

ConflagrationShipping- Entei x Raikou- 'conflagration' is the name for a big destructive fire, sometimes caused by lightning.

KeroseneShipping- Feraligatr x Typhlosion- Kerosene is a flammable liquid :D

DrizzleShipping- Kyogre x Rayquaza- Named after Kyogre's ability and because it's a kind of rain.

HeliotropeShipping- Espeon x Mewtwo- Heliotrope is a purple flower that turns towards the sun. I thought it worked well for them.

DivinorumShipping- Leafeon x Mewtwo- Divinorum is a kind of plant used to induce a psychoactive trance. Again, I thought it worked for them.

ClarityShipping- Ralts x Mew- They're both psychic type, so they have clarity of mind. I don't know, I thought it was a nice name and a cute ship.

GarishShipping- Gastly x Zubat- Named for my Gastly on a rom of Silver.

There are seven people involved in the ship and my fav characters. Sept means seven in french, hence the name Septshipping.

~ Well Gligar always winked when it was always out and crashed into Ash. xD

Pikatheftshipper - Hunter J & Ash
~ Hunter J pokenapped Pikachu and Ash would follow Hunter J until he would find Pikachu.

Attainshipping - Ash & Chimchar
~ To prove Shinji that they aren't pathetic as he says they are.

Shoveshipper - Dawn & Croagunk
~ In that maze episode, Greggle saved Hikari from the Onix rampage and shoved her into a quick hole it dug.

Evadeshipper - Ash & Kenny
~ When Team Rocket attacked the gang, Satoshi shoved Kengo to the side, resulting to them evading the blast.

Drifshipper - Ash & Drifloon
~ Drifloon helped Satoshi search for Mai while drifting. xD

~ At the end of the first Hippo encounter, Hippo yawned at Satoshi & Pikachu, resulting to them falling asleep.

Me thinks the only couples of merit I've named are...Cavaliershipping and Originshipping (and to a lesser extent, Mossshipping...it got popular or something). :D Everything else is uncountable. No seriously. I could count all the Falkner 'ships I'm responsible for (174+3-4-2-15=156, give or take two) and that's about it, which likely doesn't cover even a third of what I've named over the years. o_O And that's not accounting the ones I helped with. Plenty of those too. You don't want me combing just to find the ones I think I did.
 
Heh. I was the namer of Monkeyshipping. I have no idea why I wanted to pair Aipom and Chimchar together, but I did. And the reason behind the name? Obvious. xD
