What the Anime Should Do(LOOK AT IT SO INTERESTING!)

I admit the Sinnoh Saga has been unpredictable, but the writers have become lazy and solemn, so here is(Personally) what I believe they should do.

In all honesty, Dawn and the gang should head to Johto(They could use the coliseums from Pokemon Battle Revolution as the main focus of Ash and contests for Dawn)

Why you ask?
The writers have been following a script straight from the games, and in my opinion they need to let their imaginations run wild. There have been less anime-exclusive cities and towns, which I enjoyed. Also it would give a chance for Ash to show off other members of his team. Of course this could all happen after Ash go to the Pokemon league, and would give them a last chance option to perfect the 5th generation of Pokemon, Dawn could catch some new Pokemon, and evolve her current ones(goodness knows that is what she needs). May, Harley, Drew and Soledad are also currently in Johto, a shout-off for all Pokemon fans. It could also fill the gaps of lost characters, such as Richie, who never officially left Johto, and maybe a few new good rivals could appear. Also I don't believe any(other than Koga and Bruno) Elite four made a debut, so it would be an excellent idea

Feel free to express your opinions!

There is going to be no Johto re-visit.

Judging by Sinnoh's pacing the league won't end till sometime in the summer. With the new game set for Fall release, most likely Ash will head straight there.

They don't have time for a filler arc this gen, they stretched Sinnoh out too long.

I believed they would go to Johto, but they don't have enough time, so, i don't think they are going. Maybe next time, if there is.

Maybe they have to go through Johto to get to the Gen V Region?

But on a serious note, there is a slim chance of them returning to Johto.

The writers have about 6 or so months to wrap up DP, and then Gen V region it is.

The only way there will be a filler arc now is if the new games are delayed into 2011 for whatever reason.

*shoots Athena* Takeover stopped.

Above all, the writers should finally let Ash win the friggin' Sinnoh League.

Give Team Rocket more Pokemon. I'd like James to have something other than Carnivine to battle with. Also, give him his Cacnea back.

They should stop making pointless fillers, we don't care about anyone else in the anime except our 3 heroes....they just needa stop creating random characters that need saving then disappear afterwards, example of the recent dub episode.

I agree. Jessie got a new Pokemon in the form of Yanmega, while James hasn't got anything new since the beginning of DP. I also have a suspicion that Seviper will leave in Gen V and Jessie will get a new snake.

I think they should continue to replace the girl of the show and that every arc should have Ash, Brock, Pikachu, and Team Rocket. In fact, have the same gym leaders and have Ash go through the same region over and over. Keep everything the same except the girl of the show.

I think the anime should make characters like AJ come back. He should've a long time ago. He wins his first 100 battles, yet we never see him again. Why? If he were to come back, the writers could briefly explain who he is, since there are obviously people who've never seen that incredibly old episode.

I think it'd be interesting if we saw a Pokeball making episode. (We saw a Hoso episode about them making badges, so why not?) It would've been really interesting if Voltorb and Electrode debuted in episodes like that.

Who's we...?

Bring back the ORIGINAL rival: Gary Oak. (Bias Shmias...) Honestly, I don't see how Paul compares to him. Paul is a horrible trainer in comparison. And out of ALL the characters in the show, Gary's the one that's changed most, (although there's doubt over whether the changes were good or not), and one of the better trainers that's had repeated appearances.

I understand he's changed his supposed career and what-not, but that doesn't change the fact that he fell off the face of the Earth after his major defeat. His appearances dwindled down to nearly zilch. What happened? Early on, he was one of the major reasons that Ash pushed himself to train so hard. And now we have Paul, who's the exact description of what a trainer shouldn't become. Either replace Paul with a more worthy rival or bring Gary back for more then several measly episodes.

Even if he DOESN'T come back, I know there are tons of us who still want to see he and Paul face off. Now THAT would be something.

(And to all those Paul fans out there: I'm sorry. :< I don't wish to insult you.)

Gary never had many appearances in the show. You ever notice he didn't appear in Orange at all till the final 2 eps, and how in Johto he appears in 3 eps before the league?

And I don't see why the writers would regress Gary's character into Ash's main rival again, they've long gone past that and Gary works better as a friendly rival.

What? Paul is a great rival..... You must be upset because Gary is gone for good(as a Rival) and has been replaced by someone else.

I hope it's Brock who gets the axe, for freakin' serious. I'm sick of him. What we need is to keep Ash and Dawn, and bring in the Gen V boy for a change.

And then axe Brock and Team Rocket, and bring in a new villainous trio of the team of the region. Team Rocket got old halfway through Johto. ._.

I kind of agree. I don't mind Brock as a character, I think he's just run out of steam. He'd make a great reoccurring character like Professor Oak is, but part of the main cast he's getting a bit stale. Team Rocket needs to be not necessarily removed from the show, but at least removed from their current role of once-an-episode all-purpose villains. It's much less exciting if you know the only source of conflict is a group of incompetent goons that have maybe three tricks up their sleeves. I'd rather see the villains change up than to bring in a new group of every-episode villains. They would just fall into the same pitfall as Team Rocket.

Sometimes I wonder if Brock's Japanese VA has some kind of contract with the writers or something that said he's always going to be there.

It really doesn't make much sense why a first-gen Gym leader like Brock has remained in the anime after all this time, especially after Ash matured as a character and doesn't need to rely on his advice anymore.

Brock was always that character you assumed would get written out a second time at some point, but it strangely never happened. I never ever thought of Brock as a permanent character in the anime, and its odd to see the girls constantly cycled through while he remains.

My theory is...

Ash will win the Pokémon league, allowing him a chance to challenge the Elite Four. Ash will get to Cynthia, but lose, prompting him to go to the Battle Frontier (which has already been confirmed to be in Sinnoh, right?). However, the facilities will be spread around the island.

We will then get the Charon-Heatran plot during the season, which will be full of 5th Generation advertisements before Ash defeats the Battle Frontier, and everyone returns home before departing to Gen V land.

with gen V coming out later this year i dont think they have enough time to do all of that
