What things in anime made you go.. um, did that make any sense?

Well I was watching the episode of Pokemon Chronicles and it was the one where TR blasted off and were flying through the sky and remenissing on when they became TR members and gang. Now it made me think. How long were TR actually flying throuhg sky for? SHouldn't they have landed long before they disappeared in the end of the episode?

Was there any other things you remember that made you think... "what was that all about?" or "did that make sense?"

So I was only half watching the episode, but from the school arc, the episode with the dusknoir, why did the dusknoir attack Brock when it was offered food? It seemed to be trying to make everyone else not be afraid of it, but when Brock was nice and not scared, he got attacked. Perhaps I should watch the episode fully, or did that part not make sense either way?

In Pokémon? I think there's a moment (or more) like that in every episode, so it's impossible to start thinking of specific ones.

I try to avoid paying too much attention to the mistakes and such, because I remind myself that this isn't such a serious show, but rather just a fun program to watch. This is Pokémon, after all.

Nearly every time TR's balloon explodes. Even after it's been hit with a water cannon attack. I know it's a cartoon and the laws of physics don't apply (most of the time), but come on.

I'm guessing the bubble beam attacks used in anime, the bubbles are as hard as marbles or harder and explode on collision with another attack or something. When Dawn used piplups bubble beam to do her hair, it went easy on the buttlebeam attack and used it lgihtly, but in battles pokemon use full power of the attack unless told not to.

Also, most attacks when they collide in anime explode.

Three words: "Pikachu! The horn!"

I'll take your three words and do six better ones: In the Wired for Battle! Episode When Shingos Scizor was battling Ash Heracross, Shingo says to scizor to use Agility and then says "Finish it off with False Swipe!". Thats just dumb.

How is that something of note, but not Pikachu's thundershocks actually affecting or harming Geodude earlier in the series?

It goes without saying that anime logic =/= that of the game. So how is the horn scenario so questionable? He had Pikachu aim for an area that wouldn't be immune to the attack.

Anyway, unless we're talking about something like continuity, I honestly don't see how physics or logic could be questioned in a world where animals can use high powered elemental moves to battle.

1. Proper grammar is "were there." Not "was there."

2. Yeah. Like, how does Pikachu ever win a battle? I mean, it's a Pikachu. And how come Ash never uses strong Pokémon? And why is everyone in the show a complete moron? And why does Ash, a Pokémon master, have to consult his PokéDex for every freaking thing when I can identify one on sight by name, type, and several other characteristics? And... yeah.

A lot of the stuff that goes on the show doesn't make sense to me. Like Team Rocket blasting off so many times. Ash and everyone getting strucked by 10,000 volts of electrcity. Some of the stunts pulled off from Ash like jumping 50 feet in the air. A lot, I could drag on and on. But hey, sometimes nice to just not overthink so much knowing its only a TV show.

It was trying to attack the ghost girl behind Brock and the boy. I assume it was behind them, because of where Dusknoir's attack was trying to hit. Brock just assumed it was trying to attack them so they ran.

Hmmm... I watched the clip again, and it still looks like it's attacking Brock cause the girl is off to the side. I guess it could be that he's scaring them away so the girl won't steal their souls or something.

Yeah but I think that was after the fact. The girl "was" behind Brock but moved once Brock and the kid ran off. I mean if the girl is some ghost creature, it should have some form of teleportation, or illusion abilities.

  • Why Pokemon who are essentially part of the same being are fighting each other for no apparant reason
  • Bubbles making an explosion
  • A good 90% of the physical moves being treated as if they were special moves
  • How Ash manages to get dressed in the morning
  • Why when bad guys (or Paul) does something its wrong but when Ash basically does the same thing its right
  • The battle against Tate and Liza where Swellow turned all gold and stuff
  • half the dialogue in the dub atleast
  • list more when it comes to me

He was attempting to scare them away so that the girl could not do to them what "she" did to Conway.

  • Why Pokemon who are essentially part of the same being are fighting each other for no apparant reason

  • The same reason why animals in real life fight one another, or even humans, despite that we're of the same species. Differences in ideology, territorial purposes, disagreements, etc...

    [*]Bubbles making an explosion
Given that a "water gun" could do the same thing, or that leaves could harden in such a way to be razor-like, whirlpools can be conjured up out of thin air, or that shadow balls and psybeams exist, the fact that bubbles make explosions becomes fairly probable in the Pokemon world. As much as I hate that too.

[*]half the dialogue in the dub atleast
    Half is an exaggeration.
