when you finish your pokemon games... what do you do? do you stop playing?
here I leave some ideas before re-start your game...
could you leave your ideas??

POSTGAME IDEAS
- fill pokedex
- shinies hunting
- create competitive team
- get legendaries pokemon
- defeat the pokemon league (again)
- visit new secret bases
- online battles
- try new teams or pokemon
- re-start the game

Postgame is usually when I start doing a lot of my shiny hunts. I have the time and usually the breeding stock, so post E4 I camp out by the Daycare and start hatching. Currently I'm working on a Chimchar that I hope to port over to Sun and Moon; I've already bred a shiny Tyrunt, Pawniard and Golett that will also make that journey.

I've yet to restart my game, though. I don't know why.

Dammit, you made me lose the game.

Oh, wait, not THAT game, you're talking about the POKEMON games. I dunno, I just like running around and fighting NPCs in ORAS while leveling up any Pokemon I feel like leveling up. I'm currently doing that with my Roserade to level her up to 100, and I'm gonna follow that up with Dragonite, Scolipede, Heracross and Crawdaunt.

I usually will try to fill up the Pokedex, but I only get so far then push it aside until the next game. Now I really mostly do online battles and restart the game and create new teams, sometimes I'll look for shinies as well.

flame body Pokémon (Talonflame), bicycle and a lot of eggs. That has been my post game experience of Y for a while now.

After I complete a game (beat the Champion, that is), I usually play it for a little while more and then stop.
In Emerald, I decided to play till all my caught Pokémon were level 50. (I could not achieve the goal as the save file vanished into thin air! Aaahh!:(:()
In Platinum, I set up a target for the Battle Frontier and played till the target was reached. Later (after an year or so), I participated in my very first Pokémon Super Contest in Hearthome City with my Eevee and won. Hurray!:D:D:LOL:;)
In White 2, first I journeyed through the remaining cities and Town accessible post game (till Nuvema Town, that is) and then I stopped playing it when my target for the White Treehollow was reached. Currently, I am planning to enter a Pokémon Musical with my Sawsbuck.
I have not yet played a Generation 6 game (I plan to play Y) as no 3DS emulator would download in my laptop. Aaahh!:mad:
So Ya! That's pretty much what I did post game.
And I do not restart my game. THERE'S NO WAY I AM DOING THAT!

Depends on the game I'm playing. In HGSS I spent a long time playing the Battle Factory. In others I just battled the E4 again or whatever other challenges were presented. Although recently I mostly just restart things.

Great thread! I think it should be moved in the Pokemon Video Games section, though.

Personally, I play Pokemon mainly for the postgame content. My favourite activity is spending most of the time in the game´s Battle Facilities. I equally like the Battle Frontier, Battle Maison, Battle Subway, etc. I just want indefinite amounts of ""competitive" battles (I mean those, where the levels are set equal) so I love those facilities the most.

Additionally, my second favourite activity is doing side quests/games, but only those that I like. I love Secret Bases, Contests, DexNaving, Pokeathlon,PR Videos, etc.

A third ativity that I like doing´would be rematches. While I don´t enjoy them as much, because they don´t set your levels equal to those of your opponent, I still like rematching trainers with upgraded teams: Pokemon Leagu, Leaders, normal trainers, etc. It´s all enjoyable.

Here are the activities that I like doing in my favourite games, sorted by game:

Emerald: Battle Frontier, Contests, Secret Bases, gym leader rematches.

HGSS: Frontier, Pokeathlon, Gym Leader rematches, Pokemon League rematches, Bug Catching Contests (why is it only 3 days a week though)

BW2: PWT, Battle Subway, Funfest Missions, Treehollow, League upgr., Sports Domes.

ORAS: Maison, Contest Spectaculars, Super Bases, DexNav, Pokemon League Upgrades, Trainer Eye Upgrades, Battle Resort type Specialists, Mauville Food Court

Mine is relatively simple, level up my main team then raise more pokemon with interesting moves (alot of breeding) and then really just mess around and do what i feel like doing. Catching all Legends are a must tho, gotta catch them. Alot of times Ill get bored tho and go through the E4 with random teams; you know, mix and matching, pokemon normally wouldnt be used etc. I dont do online tho

Usually I level my team to level 100 and maybe do the same with the box legend. As I'm doing that, I usually work on catching all of the legendary Pokemon.
Then I'll typically just play whatever side activities there are (if any), such as Contest Spectaculars or the Battle Resort.
And that's pretty much it, though all of that can last a pretty long while.

I usually capture all remaining legends, do another run around the region getting to areas I couldn't before ect. Usually finish all modes of the battle facilities quite quickly, and then get to training some more Pokémon for online and general play tbh.

I have hatched perfect nature and characteristics of pokemon that have mega evolution and currently maxing their particular stats with Super Training. Planning to level them all up to level 100.

For a long time I mostly just stopped playing after finishing the main game and after a while I would simply restart the game again.

However, since XY I do/have done the following:
- Complete a living dex.
- Do lots of shiny hunting.
- Breed competitive Pokémon.
- Practice battling in the Maison.
- Join Global Link Competitions.

This has made restarting a game a lot harder though, because it would make me lose all my BP and the items I've bought with it :(

I recently got into trading Pokemon to try and complete a living dex. I'll try and level them up to evolve them. After I finished Omega Ruby, I used PokeBank to transport my Y team into OR and defeat Steven Stone and get their Hoenn ribbon. Recently I transported my Gardevoir and Swampert to Y to get their Kalos ribbons.
