(I would swear I saw a threat somewere where you could ask how to play one of your favourite not-perfect pokémon but I couldnt find it anywere..)

Hey All,

So here is the deal, I got my hands on a shiny Eevee and would like to use it on my (semi) competitive team. However, there are 2 problems:

THE EV's are the following:
2 HP
28 Atk
22 Def
14 Special Atk
24 Special Def
12 Speed

Pretty crappy to say the least. It has a neutral nature.

The second problem is that it doesnt have any egg moves. So an Umbreon with Curse, for example, is out of the question.

What would be the evolution (and move sets?) to consider and why?

Thanks in advance!

Considering that your only "good" IV is Attack, you'll want a physical attacker, limiting you to just Flareon and Leafeon, aka the two worst Eeveelutions. This'l be fun xD
The big question is: Does your Eevee have HA or not? If yes:

Flareon @ Toxic Orb
Guts
Serious (or whatever neutral nature you've got)
252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
~Flare Blitz
~Quick Attack
~Façade
~Bite/Protect

If no:

Leafeon @ Leftovers
Leaf Guard
Serious
252 HP/252 Atk/4 Sp Def
~Swords Dance
~Baton Pass (level up Eevee)
~Leaf Blade
~X-Scissor/Return/Synthesis

Put it in your box and appreciate it's shininess? With those IVs and nature even using GB's sets it'll still be terrible in comp.

It does not have the HA.. =P Thank you Nintendo! (its the event Eevee).
I figured I was limited to those 2 as well, but is it really impossible to go with another one with 14 sp atk? Im pretty new to competitive.

BAK is right in that your best bet is just boxing it, but I'm the kind of guy who will give you the most viable available option just in case you're 100% determined to use it (like if you wanted to use a Beedrill in OU xD). So the fact that we're even considering working with an IV of 28 rather than 31 is sort of tenuous, and your bad HP IV makes defensive Eeveelutions like Vaporeon, Sylveon, and Umbreon out of the question and even if you wanted to use the 14 Sp Atk (and trust me, you don't), the 12 Speed will come back to bite you with Jolteon or Espeon, and Glaceon, who lacks Speed and a good Defensive typing, needs massive offensive power (Modest nature, 252 Sp Atk EVs, Choice Specs) to be used as that't its only redeeming trait, so a neutral nature and imperfect SpA IV make it nonviable for you. Flareon and Leafeon both don;t mind the low Speed and while they would appreciate the HP, Flareon is a suicide attacker with Toxic Orb and Flare Blitz anyways and Leafeon has Synthesis to somewhat mitigate the low HP IV.

Thank you for your detailed response, guess Ill eather keep it for ingame fun or trade it away. Thanks a lot! :)

Feel free to keep her or trade her, but please don't eat her! :p

Lol I wont =P

One final follow up question, what would be the best moveset for Umbreon if I do decide to evolve it?

One final follow up question, what would be the best moveset for Umbreon if I do decide to evolve it?

Ingame? Dark Pulse, Confuse Ray, Moonlight, Psychic/Shadow Ball

Umbreon literally has no moves ingame and is best used Competitively with Curse, Wish, Sucker Punch, and Protect. So Umbreon is just terrible perioid.

One should never put curse and sucker punch on a Umbreon. The moveset you want to go with is

Umbreon@ Leftovers
Calm
Synchronize
252 HP/252 SpD/6 Def

Wish
Foul Play
Protect
Heal Bell/Toxic

He was asking for ingame and since he can't breed those moves he can't use it competitively.
