What type of gym would your city have?

Saw this on Reddit, thought I would bring it here, where people won't have fear of being downvoted.

For instance, I said Youngstown, Ohio would have a steel gym, but considering most of the steel mills here closed decades ago, perhaps now it would be an ice gym, in honor of all the national famous ice cream places we have here.
 
I live in a town with Lake in the name so perhaps my town's gym would be Water. However, the water is incredibly polluted and nasty, and we're surrounded by desert, so Poison or Ground would work as well.
 
Since I live in high desert, perhaps a grass/ ground gym.
 
I would have to say either a water-type gym (as my town's right off the beach), a grass-type gym (there's lots of marshy areas and a decent amount of trees), or a fire-type gym (as the climate is usually hot and humid).
 
I used to live in Elizabeth, NJ, so maybe a Normal-type gym considering how it's your average 100,000-population city (and the gym would most likely be in Newark or Jersey City anyway). Charleston, SC would have a dual-type Water/Grass gym, considering the marshland setting. Whoever the Leader would be, I bet they'd love spamming Ludicolo.
 
My town's economy is built solely on rich elderly retirees and the doctors who take care of them. So, Ghost-type.
 
Bolton was known for its wool industry - mainly during the second world war - so electric with an Ampahros lead.

Or grass and Cottonee?
 
Hmm... tough one. I live near water (Lake George), so that would suggest a Water gym. But, I also live in a rural forested area, so that would suggest a Grass gym. But it's also a mountainous region, so that could mean a Rock gym. We also get heavy snowfall, bitter cold, and plenty of ice, plus there are numerous skiing resorts around, so Ice would also work.

Hmm... Water... Grass... Rock... or Ice? All four could easily fit in. If I was running it, I would pick an Ice Gym, but it will probably end up a Grass or Rock Gym due to the naturally rocky terrain, hiking areas, and nature tours. So it would probably end up a Rock or Grass Gym.
 
Sydney's got the harbour, with the ferries, the Harbour Bridge, the numerous houses that look onto the harbour, and the various beaches including Bondi, Manly, and Cronulla. Come to think about it, the new development at Barangaroo (just west of Sydney downtown/CBD) could do with a Water-type gym that doubles as a beach and a ferry terminal. Sailors, surfing dudes, and tanned-blonde bikini swimmers (like the ones in XY). And we'll invite Marlon from Unova - he seems to fit the laid-back Aussie the best. Oh, and a reference to the opera house, at least one Pokemon will be using sound/attention-based moves.

I live in a town where there are loads of rain and storms and bad weather so probably Lightning or Electric.
 
There's a beach in my city. Water type, maybe? Could also go Grass since there's a bunch of wooded area too, or even Fire with the temperature. Ground type would be fitting too because of the sand.
 
I'm live in London, so anything goes, really.

But, my hometown in Indonesia could be either Grass or Water, since it's a port city on a tropical island.
 
Well, my town is famous for cider, so grass type maybe, but I would have to say Psychic might fit better just because everyone here is a TOTAL HEADCASE.
