The decade is coming to a close. We have had so much Pokémon trills in the 2000s. We went thru GSC, RSEFRLG and we are still in DPPtHGSS.
 
Back at the beginning of the decade, when G/S released here. It was the high point of the fandom, and one that has never been duplicated, although we've come close. Will HG/SS match this for us? The JP release didn't as far as I know, so I don't think it will. Pokemon may not be as big as was then, but we still remain one of the best known fandoms. Can we last as long as the other main Nintendo franchises? Only time will tell.
 
Everything. This was the Pokémon decade. Who knows if it might end in 10 years?
 
Wow.... both the anime and the games were such a big part of it - not only has the anime gone so far and long but all the new games and generations came out. Hard to believe it all happened in ten years! So, I'd say anime and games for definite, though there's so much about the Pokemon franchise that has just evolved and expanded. Hopefully it keeps going for another while yet :)
 
Has to be the games. I know people who don't like pokemon, but appreciate the games as top notch RPGs.
 
Games of course. The games have truely seen a great prgression for the start to end of the decade, and the games always have been my favourite part of the franchise.
 
The 2000's were the bulk of the franchise existence.

If anything I think the 2000's will be more memorable for the franchise then whatever 2010-2020 winds up like. We'll be at 1000 Pokemon by the end of the next decade.

I liked everything.

The TCG introduced new game mechanics (Pokemon EX, Pokemon LV. X, Pokemon SP and the Lost Zone)

The video games had new mechanics as well (notably the physical/special split)

Pokemon D/P is awesome as well.
 
To me it was the games and the anime, TCG not so much even though I was playing that more then the games.
 
I think that at the start of the 2000s, it's popularity was pretty much at it's overall world-wide peak. I mean, the second movie was coming out, the merchandise was everywhere, it was crazy awesome.
 
I'm going to go with the easy answer and say everything. Ten years was a long time and we really have had alot of new content added to the Pokemon series. I've lost touch with the TCG (I still buy a pack every once and a while), but there were alot of new mechanics released between now and 2000. The games have been booming lately, what with Wi-fi and GTS, and it seems like they have gained a good deal of popularity again. Even the Anime has been going strong; but it is a shame that they have stopped putting the movies in theaters even if they have been good quality.
 
I think everything was great in this decade (which by the way has only 11 days left).
From the games to the anime to everything. It was really a good time for pokemon. And it came to age 10 (I still have that Celebi) and now it has 13 years.
 
Gold, Silver and Crystal started the decade, and in the form of HeartGold and SoulSilver, they are closing it. And HeartGold and SoulSilver will start the next decade. In my head that makes sense, to others it might not.
 
I'm going to say everything! Hopefully the franchise will still be going strong in ten years!
 
The anime started to lose popularity after the GS gen. I don't blame people for losing interest in it because it has gotten quite repetitive.

However, the games always have something new and exciting in store. After playing RSE I thought the video games were going downhill too, but I play DPPt and bam! there's a bunch of new stuff the series has to offer and I think there's still a lot more possibilities in the future.
 
The games have come so far in just 10 years.
Just look back at the advancements in G/S and look at HG/SS. It's crazy how much even just the games have progressed.
