Just thinking back on the last few pokemon episodes I saw and they have to be:

Advanced Gen: Where Ash and professor found the stone chamber and the relicanth inside

Advanced Gen: Where Mays Blaziken and Ashs Sceptile battle head to head and end up tying, so they have half badge each.

Jhoto: Where Ash, Brock and Misty go into a forest and see dead trees around and discover pinsar and heracross feeding on tree sap.

The first episode you see the Pichu brothers in it.

The episode where the hippy guy with white hair and moustache uses flue to wake up a snorlax.

D/P: Luxray Vision and the one where they found floraroma town and made poffins.

Decided to watch a few older episodes as I don't remember much of Johto or Advanced. What was the last few episodes you have seen from the anime?

You mean just recently?

The last DP ep I saw was the dub of the Maylene eps and I watched the Japanese version of whatever the last ep was that aired.

I'm actually in the process of rewatching the older seasons now, I've rewatched all of Kanto over the last month and now I'm in the middle of Orange Islands. I've seen these eps hundreds of times in the past but I wanted to rewatch them to refresh my memory.

The last AG ep I think I watched were probably some of the Gym/Brain or Contest episodes, but I've already seen the whole series a few times. I probably have to do a rewatch of this series as well, but since its almost 200 episodes long it'll take some time to go through it again.

Hmm. The most recently I've watched the show was on Sunday. By chance, I saw some reruns of a couple DP Battle Dimension episodes: Once There Were Greenfields and Throwing the Track Switch.

A couple days before that I watched a handful of select episodes on Battle Frontier since I just bought the DVD set. *looks at a list to recite them* Off the Unbeaten Path, Harley Rides Again, Spontaneous Combusken (which, as it turns out, was misspelled on the DVD itself but not the packaging), Cutting the Ties That Bind, Ka Boom with a View, King and Queen for a Day, Curbing the Crimson Tide, and Three Jynx and a Baby.

Other than that, I've only watched new episodes on Saturdays for the last month or two.

The last episode I saw was "Rival battle! Three vs three! just to hear his incredible Japanese voice again. I had realized that it had been a month or so since I've heard it O_O
The episode I saw before then? I'd say the Psyduck Roadblock episode. Yeah, I dont get around to watching much Pokemon lately anymore, too many hobbies.

Same here.

Since I haven't seen every episode of the show yet, I've been working my way through the series until I hit DP. I'm current in Jouto, and just saw "Kunugidama and the Apricorn! The Battle of Ura Mountain!!".

I also saw "The First Battle! The Battle Factory! (Part Two)" on the latest episode of Pokemon Sunday.

I watched that Having a Wailord of a Time episode this morning, pretty good stuff with Kung Fu Chicken.

Whiscash and Ash, which I saw today (middle AG). I can really recommend this one, it's so funny xD

Wow, that's so coincidental. I just saw that too, along with the recent Maylene episodes. Yeah, I'm looking back at the AG episodes.

I'm rewatching the entire series, like a lot of other people, and the last episode I saw was that awful, awful Hanecco filler. The fact that there are episodes worse than this one out there greatly saddens me.

The most recent episodes I saw were the D/P Veilstone City Gym arc. Probably one of my favorite gym arcs so far, Lucario is just so hot!

I actually had to look at Bulbapedia to see who you were talking about. That Hoppip filler where it thought it was an Oddish? If that's the ep you're talking about then yeah it was awful.

Heh, the most recent Pokemon episodes I saw were yesterday morning's Advanced episodes. "Now That's Flower Power" and "Having A Wailord of a Time".

And of course, "Having A Wailord of a Time" happens to be on my top favorites list. There are SO many good Ash lines in that episode!! :crush:

I also really love "Whiscash and Ash". I need to download that episode and watch it again, because Ash is so awesome in it!! XD

You just reminded me of when I got my Master Quest box set a couple years ago. I saw every episode except for Whichever Way the Wind Blows. Xatu the Future may be my personal least-favorite, but that one is just as boring, if not more so. The only reason I saw the former was because I needed a few screenshots for a Bulbapedia article.

I recently purchased part three of the Indigo League and the entire Orange Islands series on DVD, so I've been busy watching those. I must say, I'd forgotten about how immature Ash used to be. When I saw him lose the match to Ritchie, I kept thinking about his loss to Tyson in the Hoenn League, and how different his reaction was. And in that episode Fire and Ice, he was more concerned about his own hunger than about his Pokémon's. Just goes to show you how different the series has changed over the years.

I actually kind of liked the "Oddish that wants to be a Hoppip" episode.

...

Hey, I only liked it because there was a huge tornado that came the fuck out of nowhere in it, and it made me imagine dozens of little children traveling through Johto being killed by freak tornados year after year, which is too jarring of an idea in the eternally peaceful Pokémon world to not laugh at.

I once despise Xatu the Future, but now that I think about it, it also has an unexpected natural disaster and a strange-as-hell plotline that makes it charming in a unique way. "Look, the twerps and Team Rocket randomly fall into a future-like headquarters that's really nothing but a weather station run by a girl with a strange haircut who is appearantly the leader of a cult filled with people that are too stupid to tell the difference between a satellite dish and a Xatu and who all vanish into thin air or something when a hugeass flash flood randomly comes along! Also, all the Xatu teleport away forever for some unexplained reason! Okay, TO BE CONTINUED, and go by some Pikachu plushies, kids!"

...QUESTION MARK.

RE: I do remember being surprised how different Ash was when I rewatched the early seasons again.

I remembered Ash being a moron, but I totally forgot how funny he was back then. Ash was a loveable goofball who Misty and Brock had to keep in check and remind him what he had to do next. Honestly, the Ash of Kanto/Orange was a lot funnier than the Ash of today. He would always make a fool out of himself or do something really stupid and it was actually FUNNY too.

Is it just me or are the characters funniest when they're making fools out of themselves? I like how Ash has matured over the series, it was most noticeable when AG began, but honestly Kanto/Orange Ash was hilarious. LOL.

Ash also doesn't have as many "dense" moments as he used to, those were golden.

The episodes I saw recently were The Stun Spore Detour and Misty Meets Her Match. Those are a couple of Orange Islands episodes I like but if you go by chronological order the most recent ones I watched entirely were The Scheme Team, The Right Place And The Right Mime, and A Real Cleffa Hanger.

And of course, "Having A Wailord of a Time" happens to be on my top favorites list. There are SO many good Ash lines in that episode!!

I have to agree with you there.
Veronica was excellent here.
His actions were pretty amusing. One of the funny episodes I'd like to see.

Defintely. Because those are the classics. I think of Ash back then, the incredibly stupid things he used to do were pretty funny. I liked how Brock and Misty were always on to him. Even the stupid things he did to his Pikachu.

I hadn't watched Pokemon in about three years.

Until today.

After watching some random Team Rocket clips on Youtube out of boredom, I had a mighty hankering to see what kind of antics those crazy diamonds were currently up to. And somehow...somehow, I ended up spending from 11:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. watching a random selection of these newfangled Battle Dimension episodes on the aforementioned mighty Youtube.

After wondering where the hell my afternoon went and what kind of lies I would tell if anyone happened to ask me what I did today, I could only think one thing...they're not half bad. Dear god, I'm tempted to get up at an ungodly hour on Saturdays again to watch the newest ones. DAMN YOU, POKEMONS, DAMN YOU. *shakes fist*
