What's your favorite of all of them?

Mine is the SMBSS. It was pretty interesting, and seeing it on Netflix is great.

You have a Zelda avy and you didn't include the old Zelda cartoon? lol

I thought that show was so bad that it was good. XD

I also saw a Mario cartoon a long time ago, but I hardly remember it, so I can't really comment. I guess I'll just say the Pokemon anime.

Earthworm Jim is the only truly good one on the western side of things.
AoStH is a good laugh if only for Rrrrrobotnik and his minions, but that's about it.

Otherwise, Kirby is really good at times, and back in the day Rockman.EXE was a personal favourite, so it still has a special place in my...heart?

I chose Pokemon since I use to watch it all the time. I also enjoyed Kirby back when I was younger, but I only ever watched that occasionally.

Well, there aren't many good western cartoons based on video games, but Grave-E is right, Earthworm Jim was pretty cool and full of the insane humor found in the videogames AND was still able to stand on its own feet after all.

As for animes? I really liked Monster Rancher for what it was and was a big fan of the Rockman.exe Anime ( at least the first series and Axess).
Pokémon, obviously.

I also watched all of the first Street Fighter anime. It was okay, I guess. But it felt like it took 2 hours for Ryo to fire a Hadouken. Now that's intense fighting!
I am interested in the Tales of Symphonica anime but I'm not sure if it is any good.
Still want a Zelda OVA...how hard can it be to make one?

Aah, thanks for reminding me. I always forget this is based on a game series, even with the discs and the fact that a PS1 even appears in the show itself. That'd be on my list too, though I still feel bad that I'll probably never get to watch a version of the show that wasn't snipped to pieces.

And ahh, hell, while I'm at it, I think the Sonic the Hedgehog OVAs still hold up after all this time. I know some of you would probably disagree but....phooey on you :P

Well, nowadays, other than the Pokemon anime, you never see any video game based cartoons or anime anymore, and even then, the ones that DO get cartoons and anime tend to stay Japan only and never see release overseas.

As for cartoons and anime that have already ended (or in Sonic SatAM's case, cancelled and brutally murdered by the network), we have Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and The Super Mario Brother Super Show (thanks to Youtube poop), the Ruby Spears Mega Man Cartoon (for being relatively cheesy), Kirby: Right Back At Ya (I need a monstah to clobber dat dere KIRBY!!!), and Megaman NT warrior.

I've never seen the Earthworm Jim cartoon, but I've heard good things about it.

It's far from perfect, but I'll have to go with the Pokemon anime. A lot of the western video game cartoons drove me up the wall back in their day, because they were so unfaithful to the games, so I was impressed with how well the Pokemon anime followed the source material. Having a TV show to accompany the games made both even more fun.

It's been a few years since I've seen the Earthworm Jim cartoon, though. I can imagine I would appreciate it more nowadays. I tried watching the Kirby anime a few times, but I couldn't stand Tiff and how she seemed to steal the spotlight from the true hero.

I don't particularly like any of them:( So I'm gonna say Sonic the Hedgehog.
No not that silly crazy one, I mean the Saturday Afternoon post-apocalyptic show where Robotnik ruled the world and turned woodland critters into Robots.

I can't vote as I've never sen any of them except Pokémon.
That Zelda cartoon was cool... I didn't think it was bad at all, just humourous. That line "excuse me princess", haha! (although my dad says that he thinks that they stole that line from some comedian who used something similar in his comedy act years ago...)
I remember a CGI cartoon involving Donkey Kong... actually, it was probably the first CGI cartoon I'd ever seen. But I didn't watch it much... only saw a few episodes (it was before I had ever played a Donkey Kong game), so I don't remember if it was any good or not. (from what I do remember, it was pretty cool).
And I think I saw like one episode or part of one episode of a Mario cartoon before I had ever played a Mario game... but I have no idea what series it was from.

Besides that, I liked MegaMan NT anime or whatever it was called. The one based on the new MegaMan games where he's a computer program and jacks into the matrix to do battle, etc.
And I liked the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime.

Sonic SatAM.

Could have been epic. Lots of good stories. Thankfully, Archie Comics continued them.

Also liked Sonic X. Seasons 2 and 3 especially.

The Nostalgia Critic panned Captain N, SMBSS, and AoStH, WTF Pokemon shows how bad the anime is, and I haven't seen the King Koopa show, so my vote goes to Kirby Right Back At Ya because it's one of the few decent video game-based shows.

You know, a funny thing about me and shows based on video games is that the first time I ever saw Sonic was in an episode of Sonic X. I had absolutely no clue that he was really primarily a video game character and not a tv show character. I'm serious. I didn't know any Sonic games existed. xP

Pokémon. Yep. Brings back the good memories of waking up early on Saturday mornings just to catch a new episode.

The obvious choice for me is Pokémon so I will ignore that momentarily.

I have fond memories of watching The Legend of Zelda cartoon online... I used to download teeny tiny grainy versions of the episodes before there was even Youtube or anything like that. And I loved it ;__; I also watched a few Captain N episodes this way, I remember watching the first one and the ones that had Zelda in them.

I never really watched much of the Super Mario Bros Super Show... the live action segments never really appealed to me. The only parts I've watched are the ones that came on the Zelda DVD :P I think my boyfriend bought them so I could always watch with him.

I AM DISAPPOINT with the lack of Sonic representation on this poll!! I adored the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog when I was a kid, I used to rent it in VHS all the time at Blockbuster XD I also used to watch SatAM on YouTube but I haven't had time for that (my bf bought those DVDs too so we are supposed to watch together). I also liked Sonic the Movie (it was 2 anime OVAs put as one movie, I have it on tape) and Sonic Underground, I remember when I was in middle school, it was on at 7AM XD so I used to tape it off TV. Now I have those DVDs too \o/ never watched much of Sonic X though.

I've never seen the Earthworm Jim cartoon, but I've heard good things about it.

Earthworm Jim was great, it's a real shame it only got one season. WB had a habit in the 90s of making great cartoons and cancelling them way too soon.
