I am going to show my age here. My first was Mew for Pokemon Blue at Toys R' Us. They had to have an employee trade me from a special cartridge full of mews.

It was great showing off to my friends in Pokemon stadium.
 
My first event Pokemon I got myself? Hm...I'd say Deoxys in Black 2 and White 2. XD. I know, sounds lame, but eh, I just started playing in 2012. ^u^
Any other event Pokemon I've gotten through a trade. ;D
 
The only reason I went to the Millennium Dome was to get Mew on my Pokémon Red. Back then, the distribution method was plugging the game into a device the size of a Gamecube.
 
The Global Link Arceus from a couple of years ago. And I've been playing since Gen I, too...
 
Darkrai in Platinum, via the Wi-Fi distribution of Member Card. Yeah, I've been playing since Gen I, but... local event distributions in Finland back in the day? You're kidding, right? There was maybe one Mew distribution for Gen I ever, 200 km away from where I live, and likely none for II and III so...
 
Mine was an official Mew given to me unofficialy. There was a nintendo sponsored stadium contest at a local mall. This was to promote Crystal's release and everyone who entered got a mew. The early fliers had the wrong date so I showed up a day late for the event... (Sunday instead of Saturday). I was in the local Gamestop that sponsored the event the next day and the Nintendo rep that handed out the Mews was there changing a display and she seen my name on the sign up sheet and I even showed her my flier with the wrong date so she took her GBC out and traded me for a real Mew.

deoxys before bw2 i never had a chance to get any event pokemon let alone know when they happened, emerald and fire reds events i had no idea existed, diamond and pearl i had no wifi for it, quit for awhile and came bakc during black 2s reign and got dexoys with my schools wifi
 
My first was the B2W2 Genesect. I ended up getting back into the series with used copies of HeartGold and Platinum a few months before B2W2 came out, so I never got the chance to get any of the Gen 4 or early Gen 5 event Pokemon.
 
Darkrai, 2008, however I gave that game away. The earliest I still have is Deoxys, 2008.
 
My first event Pokemon was Southern Island Latias with Soul Dew on Ruby in 2003 or 2004. It was the first Pokemon event to be held in my area of the UK to my knowledge, so I knew that I had to bag the Eon Ticket at any cost. The event was held at Gamestation in Birmingham and the format was to stand in a queue until it was my turn to have my GBA SP linked to one belonging to the event rep. A couple of years later I attended a similar event to have the Aurora Ticket downloaded onto my FireRed and Emerald cartridges and catch Deoxys.

Luckily, events such as these have become far easier to come by in recent times due to the advent of Wi-Fi in Pokemon games, so I have been able to nab many of the Mystery Gift event Pokemon from Gen IV onwards.
 
Torchic. I had no idea there was such a thing as Event Pokemon up until the Torchic with Blazikenite was announced. So yeah when I found out that there are quite a few Pokemon that I can never get, I wasn't so happy. My first Pokemon game was Ruby. At that point in time, I had no knowledge event Pokemon and would have had no way to obtain them. I also did not play many of the games in the series. I've never played Red/Blue, GSC, HGSS, or DP. Besides even If I did have the Gen IV games which were the first ones to utilize Wi-Fi, up until Black/White Nintendo only supported WEP Networks and like any sane person I have a WPA2 network (WEP is ludicrously unsafe).
 
My first event pokemon was the hg/ss celebi that let you get the zorua in b/w
 
I never saw any Pokemon events until about Platinum came out. (I'm from Australia) so I never got to do any. My first event Pokemon was Keldeo!
 
My first event was the Jirachi in Platinum that unlocked the secret Pokewalker area in HG/SS.
 
I didn't get into Pokemon until 2011, so my first event Pokemon was the Darkrai in Pokemon Black and White.
