What will happen when/if Misty comes back?

First off, does anyone think Misty will come back? And if she does, what would happen? Would she come back to find Ash had changed into an even uglier outfit yet again? Would she herself change into a hideous outfit? Would she confess her "true feelings" for Ash? Would she confess her true feelings for a rock? Maybe she wouldn't come back at all. Who knows...?
 
I think the scriptwriters have decided that Misty's had her run - shes needed at the Cerulean Gym.

If she does come back, it would just be as a cameo, or maybe as a few episodes (like the Togepi Mirage Kingdom episodes).
 
If there's anything people should learn about the Hikari fiasco, is that the writers will always have a new girl from the current games on the cast rather than an older character.

Misty can't come back simply because of advertising. She was replaced by May and then again by Hikari.

Being replaced by one girl is one thing, but being replaced by two seals it. I wouldn't hold your breath.
 
Misty isn't coming back, she would have been on the offical site image with Brock/Ash/Hikari so err um yah sorry.
 
I was kinda hoping she'd meet up with the other gym leaders. After all, in the video game, she's just a gym leader. She was several seasons of the animé and that's something no other gym leader, Brock and Giovanni aside, can come close to!

So yeah, while it is sad to see a main character go like she did, be glad she didn't go the cliché TV way (which is *shudder* dying).

Misty is totally GONE from the main show.

I think we'll be seeing May again in the anime (via specials) than Misty.

They didn't even bother to put Misty in the last AG episode, how sad is that?
