With Sakaki finally returning to the anime, what do you think the Rockets will be up to in Season 2? We know they'll be after Meloetta with it being "the greatest mission in Team Rocket's history", but what else could season 2 have in store for them? Will the TRio go back to black uniforms? Will they act more goofy? Could we finally see the end of the organization as a whole?

Could we finally see the end of the organization as a whole?

Considering we've barely ever seen the organization in the first place!

We also know they're going after the Kami Trio again (I think).

I doubt the trio will go back to being goofy (God I hope not), though I would like them to be more interesting. Is a middle ground really too much to ask for?

Also, if it's their "biggest plot ever", there better be some more Rocket members involved, be they old or new. If they're making such a huge move, they'll need more than two people, a talking cat, a poor man's Dr. Wily to pull it off. At the very least, have the Grunts make themsleves useful for the first time in over 10 years.

Unless, of course, said biggest plot ends up being all hype and a crap nonstory

their biggest plot so far was the Meowth arc, so it has to be better than that!

Actually they haven't been mentioned at all yet. But I wouldn't be surprised.

I know it was skipped, but I still count the meteorite plot. If this plot can live up to, or even surpass what that was supposed to be, it'll be pretty damn kickass.

Here is the scenario I'm hoping for; Team Rocket and Giovanni get into a huge war with Team Plasma over the Kami trio and Meloetta. Team Rocket nearly succeeds, but then Jessie, James and Meowth get hit by a thunderbolt or something and remember how stupid they are and screw the whole plan up. Then they decide to continue chasing Ash and co as the classic "bumbling baddies" once again (though maybe appearing only every few episodes, but not every like, 20). I hope they will NOT allow TR to leave for good. They are too iconic for that! Lookin' at you TPC, now bring back the slapstick humor that many of us know and love!

Bring back Wobbuffet, Carnivine, Seviper, and Yanmega. Let Woobat and Yamask evolve.

All those Pokemon are shown to hold their own when the plot demands, and it'd really make them more threatening as opposed to them using Woobat and Yamask for every battle. Plus, well, they rock. Mime Jr. can evolve too and come back. That'd be an awesome Team Rocket team.

If they're making such a huge move, they'll need more than two people, a talking cat, a poor man's Dr. Wily to pull it off
Don't forget about Heli-chan!

God Bless the hardest working member of Team Rocket.

Makes me wonder if Butch and Cassidy might actually show up now due to old characters returning. Would they be portrayed as super-serious now too?

I'm more curious if Flint will make a return. Unless he ended up being a Plasma agent, I'm curious why he suddenly disappeared.

I'm still going to work under the assumption that Looker arrested him in the skipped eps. Since Looker came back I assume he arrested somebody...

Team Rocket's biggest plot was the events surrounding the Mewtwo movie and Mewtwo Returns. I highly doubt that the Meloetta plot will turn out to be more significant or threatening, regardless of whether or not the Kami trio are involved.

Flint comes back, I'm sure and I know.
I do not want that especially the trio Team Rocket once again become goofy but I sincerely hope they act with more emotion and again become more interesting because they are boring to death, especially since they are used in Two Parters.

Moeletta change people's emotions, I hope she will use this ability on the trio to make them find their soul.

What I really wish is that we will see much less Seger, this character has no positive utility.

(I would like too that we discover that Seger was a double agent of Team Plasma ;P)

"the greatest mission in Team Rocket's history"

The moment I see the likes of Domino, Professor Sebastian, Bashou and Buson, then I'll CONSIDER calling this "the greatest mission in Team Rocket's history". Nothing so far shown in Best Wishes feels as serious as what we saw this characters do.

I have personally given up on the organization's portrayal in the anime. Going after Meloetta? For what? To experiment on it? I'd hardly call that "the greatest mission in Team Rocket's history". That's basically the type of thing that went down in Lake of Rage and the Raikou incident. Want the greatest mission in the organization's history? Stop wasting time and go after Zekrom!

Hey you know, with all the emphasis on rivals in BW, getting Butch and Cassidy back as the villain's rivals would make sense! Man, Butch's name mispronunciation gag is so much funnier than Stefan's imo...

Considering they started out as more serious to begin with, fine by me! I HATE what happened to them after the original series

I'd like to know too. Was he arrested and given a life sentence like so many poke-villains, or was he killed like the Sinned Hunter J?

I know, right?

Like I said in my earlier post, it's more likely something to get fans excited than something the producers will actually follow up on (as usual)

And Bajeen? Who's Heli-chan

I don't think Team Rocket will do that much. I bet they'll just sit around, and occasionally have two parters, just like they did in the first season.

I think it'll be closer to the beginning of BW since Sakaki is back. I can't see the random two parters coming back since the writers seem to have an actual storyline figured out again.

I'm hoping Giovanni will finally have a larger role in the series, maybe joining the TRio during missions and getting involved in the action. His collection of strong Pokemon would certainly make the Team Rocket battles more interesting. I'm sick to death of seeing only Yamask and Woobat.

I'm curious, how do you know that?

I agree. They don't need to become goofy again, because that would be just random... I'm eager to know why they became so cool all of sudden at the beginning of BW. Masafumi Mima, the sound director of Pokemon said on his Twitter some time ago that he's planning to create a "Team Rocket's Late Night Radio" programme.
Masafumi Mima said:
The TRio - Nyasu, Musashi and Kojiro's radio programme that only adults could listen to! I think it would be fun... Why did they become cool Team Rocket? Or, something they can't talk about openly, such Team Rocket's considerations... About guests... Sakaki-sama? Sonansu? Gureguru? Alright! Even if it's just a proposal, I'll write it! But, where should I submit it?"
I really hope that he's going to realize this. It sounds like something that could answer many questions.

Except that they have souls arleady. I really hate when people are saying that BW Rockets are soulless, because this is simply not true. Their characters didn't change from their pre-BW selves. It's just that we don't see them much anymore and even if, they're devoted to their work. They're serious about it, because they're finally one step from fulfilling their dreams (they've always had this dream okay). But, everyone might have noticed how in some episodes we had glimpses of their "old" selves coming back. This was the most visible in BW025, when Mattori told the TRio to do "whatever they want". They keep their serious face on only when they're under someone's command - like now they seem to be under Zegeru's command. This is what is called in Japan "honne" (true intentions and feelings) and "tatemae" (behavior and opinions one displays in public)'s conflict. It's not like they act OOC, it's just another part of their character. Their souls didn't go anywhere.

What I really wish is that we will see much less Seger, this character has no positive utility.
I hope that he dies in BW2 :>

I can't see any purpose of bringing them back. Team Rocket is more about unity and cooperation now, than rivalry.

If we were going to get another random series of two-parters, only with Sakaki as an icing on the cake, this would be... pretty disgusting cake xP Anyway, I hope that you're right and this is not the case.

I think you already answered that with the theory on why they're serious in the first place. Sakaki gives them an important mission, so they become serious. He leaves them and they act "normal". Seger comes back and they act serious again.

I'm hoping it'll be explained, but Sakaki just being back himself should answer some questions. Will we get the original reason for his disappearance, or it will it be some obvious made up bs? Now that he's back will he reference how the TRio are just bait for his plans? And what exactly will he do after the whole Meloetta thing is over? I'll bet you anything it'll lead into Genesect.

Since Gen 6 wont be starting anytime soon, I'm guessing they're going after Meloetta now as a stop gap to the big Rocket plot at the end of the series. (They have have the Rockets do something big at the end of BW.) So once the movies introduce Genesect (I'd assume next year) the Rockets will probably go after that as their last big thing in BW and then... who knows. Hopefully disband, but it depends what Gen 6 is like.

Yes, but I just want to hear that from them themselves. Besides, I'm just dying to hear ANYTHING more from them than just crap about Zegeru and things related with their job only.

I think that he simply "disappeared" because he didn't need TRio anymore. They served their purpose as a bait for Plasma,so he just left them. Nyasu even suspected that he left them, but Musashi didn't want to believe it. Sakaki doesn't care for anything and anyone (besides power and money and bitches of course), but they keep idealizing him for some reason. I guess that in the end, the TRio will realize that he never cared about them, and their so-called dream is one, big bullshit.

Tbh, I'm not thrilled by this... Genesect plot just screams Mewtwo too much. Not to mention that this is the most probably going to be much worse than the original. But idk, I guess I need to wait and see.
