Iris is seen helping an enraged Kairyuu, who is seen fighting a Sazandra. Is she healing it?

Just as the title says, what do you think will happen in regards to Iris for the second season of Best Wishes? Will we see more steps towards her Dragon Master goal? Will her rivalry with Langley be showcased more heavily?, etc

She gets Dragonite and it's basically a retread of Charizard, but 100% goofier looking. This capture would serve as a plot point later on, in which she fails in battle magnificently as Drayden or the village elder witness her defeat. Essentially, she'll have to train ol' Barney up and use what she learned prior from the whole Excadrill debacle to gain it's respect in order to prove herself as a dragon master or whatever.
Also, she'd have a final stage dragon and it'd be the perfect excuse to not evolve Kibago, nyuk nyuk nyuk!

Ooooh, that's some horrible speculation Grave-E. For shame.

The Dragonite reminds me of the one that used Outrage from ”Great Bowls of Fire!", it's Outrage is much stronger and potent then Axew's since the Dragonite line is known to have the ability to change and mess with weather, it was really a problem for Ash, Misty, Lance, and Brock to tame. I could totally see something similar happening, it would involve Iris having to "Know the Dragonite's heart" and tame it somehow, or it could be similar to Charizard and not like Iris but not officially be her's either. Either way it looks like it's in a pissy mood, so I hope something is done about that. There's also a chance it's Lance's. Maybe it and Axew get into an Outrage battle?

Cynthia's Garchomp appearing seems like something to note as well, Iris does comment how it's cute and I think she says something about Draco Meteor in the game about it so it would be interesting to see Iris interacting with Garchomp as well as Axew.

Plus since Dragon Spiral Tower is confirmed to appear in the anime, I think this is the point where the writers will give the girl some Dragons.

It seems like one of the upcoming eps will resolve Iris' fear of ice (oh god, at first I wrote "bugs" and then fixed it...) and will also possibly make her get friendlier with Georgia
So it seems half of her "story" will be resolved at the end of the first season
What's left after that is the whole Drayden and "evolve Axew" thing... Drayden will probably appear and have some plot thing with Iris... I want to say that Axew will evolve but I find it hard to believe at the moment... I don't know... maybe it'll evolve soon somehow (followed by his bro Scraggy evolving too) and then evolve again to its final form at the very end of BW similarly to May's Blaziken? (which then Iris will also probably leave and either become a Gym Leader or start training to be one in the future)
It won't hurt to finally give her another dragon since she wishes to be a "Dragon Master" and all, yet only have one... with the return of older Pokémon, that bring us some more possible dragons for her... but I doubt she'd get a Dragonite like some people here seem to believe (I find it more likely the Dragonite is either Lance's or Cynthia's or that it's just a random Poké not belonging to anyone)

The Opelucid Gym fight will most likely be Ash vs. Drayden due to Iris still being "in training", even then, Opelucid would most likely appear as a generic city to avoid choosing whether to use the Black or White version of the city.

I really don't want Iris to get that Dragonite. In my opinion, she doesn't deserve to get a fully evolved Dragon type, as I can't see her being able to evolve it from either a Dratini or Dragonair, when she's seriously neglected Axew. Plus, she doesn't really need to capture more Dragon Pokemon in order to become a Dragon Master. I don't think that they've mentioned that as a requirement for that goal. I was under the impression that being a Dragon Master involves understanding the heart of Dragons, or something along those lines, and I think she should try to do that with just one Dragon Pokemon. I would just like Axew actually getting some training beyond battling Scraggy and believable development/victories, even though that is just about as likely to happen as Iris having a Haxorus at the end of the series.

I want her to get that Dragonite. Yeah, maybe it's a bit underwhelming to suddenly see a character gain such a rare powerhouse, but they did the same thing with Dawn and Togekiss. It would really up her status and make her more of a presence. Having said that, I doubt she will get it, and even if she does, it will most likely be a case of Ash/Charizard..you're trainer skills don't compute with my awesomeness.

Can we just see her actually put more effort into training Axew? Please? Without random bullshit pulled from nowhere? That'd be nice.

Iris not annoying Ash and getting more work done instead of slacking off to become a Dragon Master like someone who wants to make a game but is too lazy to do it.

Yeah, maybe it's a bit underwhelming to suddenly see a character gain such a rare powerhouse, but they did the same thing with Dawn and Togekiss.

Hikari getting Togekiss was total crap and very undeserved, so why should they pull something like that again? But in Hikari's case, we knew Hikari had grown tremendously as a trainer, had honed her skill as a coordinator and as a trainer, knew how to raise and evolve Pokémon... so yeah, we knew she would have had the skill to raise a Togepi into a Togekiss. I really cannot say the same for Iris who pretty much showed jack in terms of skills in raising a dragon into a powerhouse, so her getting one would just really be cheap.

Here's my hope for BW2 in regards to Iris: She leaves and gets replaced by Hikari or Haruka That the writers actually start developing her. Development means change, progression, something to shake up the perpetual status quo that is Iris since the beginning of BW. The writers keep piling up "problems" on her to make it seem like she has a lot of progress to do to become a Dragon master, but every time they address those problems, it's never her fault, she never changes and never learns anything about it. She almost never loses a battle, she has a lot of knowledge, she already knows everything about Dragons... yawn. I want to see her struggle, I want to see her train and evolve Kibago and fail at first, learn things about Dragon Pokémon, and earn those wins and that evolution. In short, I want to care. Right now, I don't.

Releasing Excadrill would be a step in the right direction for Iris' storyline. Right now it's like Charizard the go to guy that wins lots of battles. Releasing Excadrill would force her to stop relying on it, and work with her other Pokemon.

Personally I think it was a mistake giving her a Excadrill as a starter in the first place.

I don't know what she'll do, honestly. She should like Ash's Gible and/or Lance if we see them.

Other than I imagine she'll stay the way she is right now.

Which is a damn shame. She had alot of potential, I don't know what went wrong in the writing. She rarely battles, trains, or does anything really.

I can see Iris having a more proactive role in the BW2 anime, considering that at least Cynthia is confirmed to return. There is always the possibility for the Dragon Master Lance to appear as well. The Iris in the BW games had idolized Cynthia and her Garchomp, and wants to become a powerful Dragon trainer just like her. Up until this point, Iris never really followed a set path on her quest to become a Dragon Master. Based on what we have seen of her in previous episodes, Iris seems to be the type of person who reflects on her past observations and uses this knowledge to set her actions in the present.

It seems to me that Iris is the most likely character to follow the example of others, and it is especially true if she ends up meeting with more Dragon trainers just like her. Realistically, I can see Iris growing a little bit on her journey if she ends up encountering Cynthia, and quite possibly Lance as well, in the BW2 anime.

Ideally, I would want Iris to actually battle alongside her Axew more. The problem with Iris is that she may be want to be a Dragon master, but unlike Lance or Cynthia, she doesn't appear to desire to battle alongside them. This seems to be the main setback for Iris' development in BW. How can Iris claim to be a Dragon master if she isn't seen battling with a Dragon-type pokemon too often, if at all? I can't see this happening, though, considering that the writers seem to be reluctant to have Axew battle.

In regards to that vicious-looking Dragonite, I want her to attempt to tame and/or catch it, but fail miserably. Callous, however, I desire that to occur in the hope that it could contribute to her regconising just how far away she is from achieving the title of Dragon Master. This hopefully will simulate her to train Axew a bit, maybe catch one or two Dragon-types and train them, and develop more as a Dragon trainer and as a character.
However, the likelihood of this, I am unsure of...

I think it will be very interesting to see how the season handles the 8th gym with Drayden and Iris. I have a feeling that the gym will be her eventual sendoff. Other than that, I think Iris will get more development this season since Cilan pretty much got his during the first half. I don't want anymore captures from Iris until she trains the Pokemon she currently has. What's the point of catching a Pokemon when you have a bunch of underdeveloped ones sitting there doing nothing?

You make a good point about Ash's Gible. Maybe he could tell her how he had to teach it to learn Draco Metor.

But I really don't know what's in store for Iris. Drayden's gym is a mystery and the poison leader will be appearing so she might lose her chance. And let's not forget Dawn who's coming and will basically over shadow her into the background. So I really have no clue. Hopefully Georgia could be the one to do something about her story.
