What would Leaf's anime name be?

Not like she's probably going to appear unless she appears in another game.

She can't be "Leaf".

Going by the usual customs of the first "normal" default name on their list being their anime name, she should be Amanda, or Ayako in the Japanese version.
Eh..Amanda? That doesn't really fit her..

Maybe I'm wrong though. I doubt they would just pick a random defualt name, like Satoko(being she's Satoshi's female counterpart), for her.

Autumn would be good, or Summer. I'm thinking about the "leaf" concept. But TPCi is stupid and would maybe name her Chlorophyll.
 
I think it would be Mariah in the English version.

As for Japanese... dunno.
 
In HGSS, we have all the optional names for players in certain order in the game data.

"Satoshi" goes first in order for boy (not counting "Heart"/"Soul")
The first-in-order name for the girl is... "Kiyomi"!

I also wonder if that's the case in DPPt.

But I'm just pointing it out. I don't blindly believe in what game data says. Game interface is superior to placeholders. Also, most people here have wrong idea on how in-game data works, treating it like some alien technology and a scapegoat for all ambiguities in the games.
 
I think Amanda would grow on her, actually. I can see it happening. But since the girls so far have had nature names (Misty, May, Dawn?), whether this be coincidence or not, I'm sorta leaning towards that. I like the idea of naming her after a season, like already mentioned. Summer seems nice. :D

I doubt they'd use "Summer", as we've already had Kidd Summers.

My personal choice would be "Serene". Or, if you want to go for something more tomboyish, "Jacqueline" or just "Jackie".

Then again, one could use "Aurora", but that might get confused with the attack, Aurora Beam.

God, I suck at picking names...I can never settle on just one.
 
Amber. She strikes me as the type to be named Amber, for some reason.

TCPI doesn't give every character weird, never-heard-of, names. And usually they only give these names to characters of the day. Leaf is a character who I see appearing in multiple episodes, like Kotone.

Besides wouldn't Leaf be named after those who made the games and translated the games, not the ones who made the anime and dubbed the anime? The only exception I know of are Kenta/Jimmy and Marina. And the anime always uses the default name of the main character with the dub using the English name.
 
I can think of a few names that suit her...

June is a pretty good choice, much like May, it's also a month that can double as a person's name. April as well.

The other default names also seem alright.

I kinda like "Autumn" or "Amber" for her. Not sure for a Japanese name, though...
