what would make the best snorlax?

Well to be honest, I have never trained one. But most of the Snorlax I have seen are "Curselax" Though, I believe this "standard" set has fallen in popularity since the DP generation, with all the even stronger special attackers and more things that Lax is weak to being introduced.
If I remember right, the set is something like this:

Crunch, earthquake , Fire Blast (or pursuit I think to take care of alakazam and friends)

evs= 44atk 77hp 136d 252sdef, I cheked smogon and those evs are right for this set.

OK take a snorlax with thick fat (this may be their only ability). give it curse, hyper beam, facade and focus punch. pair it with something that knows follow me and you have an unsoppable killing machine! also give it a leftovers or a bright powder. the bright powder item will lower the opponents accuracy, making it even more likely that focus punch will go through.
