I mean, really - what WOULD they taste like?

And if you remember other food items in the games, you are free to post.


Slowpoke Tails - chewy, like squid maybe?

Lava Cookies - Crunchy cookies that taste like... rocks

RageCandyBars - ... chocolate?
 
slowpoke tails-like chicken but a bit more juicy

lava cookies-your average cracker made partially from harden lava

ragecandybars-sweet,spicy chocolate that cause u to get angry after eating it!

moomoo milk-sweeter than your milk from the mart down the street
 
Lava cookies would taste like a rice cracker, because that's literally what they are. (JP: Fuen Rice Cracker)

While Casteliacones look like they'd taste like soft serve ice-cream, part of me suspects they aren't suitable for vegetarians...

Old Gateau is purple, so I'd expect it would taste like a grape or blackberry flavoured yōkan.

I think Slowpoketail tastes as meat, but something very gourmet (wagyu-like for example).

Rage Candy Bars sound me as a portable diabetes punch. With a spicy berry-based core.

Old Gateau... for some reason I think it tastes as quince candy.

Casteliacone is like a plain vanilla ice cream.

And Lava Cookies are sweet, but very hard.

That's what I think.

I think Lava Cookies would taste like a type of cookie i had a few months back. Soft cookie outside , thin layer of melted chocolate on the inside.
 
Slowpoke Tails: Has the texture of squid, but much more flavorful.

Lava Cookies: Rock-hard exterior, but soft, gooey interior filled with a lava-like substance. Always warm.

RageCandyBars: Sort of like an energy bar. Layered wafers, maybe? With the healing substance/chocolate sandwiched between?

Moomoo Milk: Slightly creamier than regular milk, and with a hint of sweetness, like what you would get if you put a bit of honey in it.

Casteliacone: I can't imagine this as anything other than plain soft-serve.

Now someone find me a pokémon food blog.
 
Slowpoke Tails:I remember it mentioned that it had sweet syrup coming from the tip, so I've imagined a slowpoke tail with the texture and taste of scallops oozing with maple syrup XD
Lava cookies: Burnt to the black cookies
RageCandy Bars: Crunch bars for some reason and the sugar crash makes you rage
Moomoo Milk: Rich and creamy, like half&half
Casteliacone: would probably taste like a jewel bar, which is best described as soda flavored sherbet or similar(it's korean, go look it up) but in softserve form.
Old Gateau: I imagine it as one of those Japanese red bean gelatins, but purple.
 
Slowpoke Tails- I think they taste sweet and you suck on them like lollipops like isn't that what shellder do?
Lava Cookies- I dunno, slightly burnt chocolate chip cookies?
RageCandyBar- I honestly have no idea, probably just a regular candy bar
 
Slowpoke Tails = The texture is all spongy on the inside and it has a really thin layer on the outside that you can suck.
Lava Cookie = Probably a cookie with chilli and chocolate in it that's just come out the oven. :)

Lava Cookies: Delicious and light.

RageCandyBar: Will break your teeth upon attempting a bite.

Casteliacone: Normal ice-cream.

MooMoo Milk: Normal milk.

Old Gateau: Texture of jelly, and very bland taste.

I'm pretty sure the Rare Candy's taste has been mentioned in an interview, and Pokéblocks and Poffins have their descriptions in the games.
 
I always imagined Poffins to be rather hard and unappetising to humans, like berry-flavoured pet food.
 
Slowpoke Tails -Apparently Slowpoke Tails taste very sweet and syrupy and very nutritious.
Lava Cookies - Crunchy and hard cracker or cookie with gooey, warm and lava like substance on the inside.
RageCandyBars - Probably like regualr chocolate bars. For some reason I picture them having nuts in them. Cause that way you could "rage" if they hurt your teeth too much.
MooMoo Milk- A very sweet tasting milk sweeter than normal milk that's more creamier.
Old Gateau: A grape-flavored yōkan since the Japanese name is Forest Yōkan
Casteliacone: Likely tastes like a regular vanilla flavored ice cream.
 
SlowpokeTail - octopus
Lava Cookies - fresh cookies at 3.000 C temperature (measure your Farenheit for yourselves!)
RageCandyBars - Chocolate (with Rage Powder on it, causing you to go all BOOM afterwards...)
CasteliaCone - Super sweet Ice-cream
Old Gateau - a cheesecake with mold on it...
 
Horrible disappointment, Lava Cookies and RageCandyBars. Like dog treats that smell like bacon but taste like what poison smells like.

To Pokémon, though, Lava Cookies ought to taste sweet, doughy, but a bit hot and spicy. RageCandyBars I'd imagine would be dark chocolate and protein, so chewy but energizing. Slowpoke Tails taste like delicious meat to both humans and mons. Not that I would eat them.
 
So we have Castelia Cones as your usual vanilla...
I wonder if we can actually eat Vanilish

Since those are primarily created as pokemon food, they would obviously taste good for pokemons. But like Miles101 said, it might actually be rather unpleasant to humans... XDD
 
I guess Slowpoke's Tail would taste of mollusk, which is basically being chewy and juicy. Probably why Shellder is attracted to it.

As for Rage Candy Bar, I think it has a mixture of spiciness and sweetness, because spicy is equivalent to hotness, while the sweetness is because it's a candy bar. As to why it doesn't recover a lot of HP, it must be the lack of nutritional value found in candy bars. That means it's not really sweet as much as it is spicy.

I second Lava Cookie's taste as having a hard exterior and a soft interior. This interior could be sweet, I can imagine.

How about PokeBlocks? It is mentioned as candy, so I think humans would treat PokeBlocks as candy too. The taste would certainly be depending on the berry's flavour like in the games.

I imagine Slowpokes' tails has the texture of rubber but is sweet like honey. Maybe something like salt water taffy.
Rage candy bars are probably like your usual candy bars. With caramel, toffee, wafers and covered in chocolate. Perhaps with an extra ingredient, like cashews or something spicy.
Lava Cookies are like fried rice onigiris. Perhaps the center has mackerel, pork but probably some ingredient I'm not familiar with.
 
I'd imagine Slowpoketails to taste like some sort of fish or shrimp, Ragecandybars to taste like chocolate with caffiene in it, Lava cookies that taste like crackers, and Pokeblocks to taste like some sort of pokefood.
