- for me a first stage white, green, blue (color of flames and lasers in mythology,books,movies) fire starter would be something. We got very little yellow, little black, many red.

animal: Snake?(black into white, white into black during evolution)

- a black 1-stage water starter.
Bell Spider, could be fast

-we got green, brown, white in grass starters design but I feel there could be more.

A Grass type rhino Starter would be cool. I'd also quite like a Grass/Bug type Grey's leaf insect as a Starter.

I am open to the idea of having Starters with only two-stage lines rather than three-stage lines, although I am doubtful that it would ever happen.

3 stages are a muss, if they would need to compete with past starters, and maybe the change would be too drastic?
grass/bug are for me to weak and would make not the best starter material but a water/bug on the other hand.
But thats a subject of how to do it work right.
 
Change only Popplio line. Make it a Water/Fighting muscular pokemon.
 
How about a Grass/Bug leafcutter ant larva that evolves into a Grass/Steel ant swordsman? It would carry three metal leaves as weapons - one in each hand and one in its mouth. Basically Leavanny after it took swordfighting lessons from Roronoa Zoro! The first form could be Larveaf, the middle form would be called Leafant, and the final form would be Ronant (Ronin ant). Ronant's head would resemble a samurai helmet - its antennae would look like the horns of the helmet. It wouldn't have mandibles, though - its mouth would be more human-like. It would also have leaves on its back resembling the banners samurai sometimes wore. It'd be a speedy physical attacker.

EDIT: I've thought up a Fire starter to go with it.

Fire: A peacock chick with a small tail made of fire. As it evolves, it looks like a larger peacock in its middle stage. Its final form is basically a peacock with the proportions of a ratite (an ostrich or emu), but with larger wings resembling arms and a more upright/humanoid posture. The eyes on the tail shoot flames. The first form is "Peacoal," then it becomes "Pyrecock", and then it becomes "Arguspark" - the Greeks explained the eyes on the peacock as Hera referencing her minion Argus. It would be a Fire/Fairy-type speedy special attacker.

Well, when Sun/Moon was first announced I had a few ideas for possible starters that I would love to see utilized at some point.

For the grass-type, I thought about a raccoon that holds a large branch as a weapon that it would keep throughout evolution.
For the fire-type, a unicorn that would eventually become a part fairy-type pegasus.
And for the water-type, a cute platypus with puppy dog ears (I think one of the main reasons I love Popplio so much is because it actually ended up having dog-like ears:p).
 
When Litten was announced, I would have likes if they had got to the unexpected route, and created a White Tiger which would have been Fire/Ice Type as its final form

Yes. Grass/Steel was the only thing I wanted to add. But a blazing pixie sounds pretty cool.

I always wanted a Fire/Electric starter as well. Maybe it could be a Lion or some other quadrupedal animal. Actually, A 4 legged fire starter would be nice straight up.

Yeah, simplicity is usually better. Just imagine how cute the first stage can be! ^_^

A rain drop can be a small ghost that grows as it evoles, Water/Ghost.

A blade of grass could be an actual blade made from grass, Grass/Fighting.

A match stick could start off as being unlit and then have blackened over its evolutions, Fire/Dark.

Blade of grass turns into a lawn which turns into a grassy hill

Match stick turns into a lit match stick then a burned matchstick.

That's cool too! Why should we almost always have dual-type starters? Mono-types can be fun too! :)
 
Zodiac Horse: Centaur+Ghost Rider???
(this really needs to hapen next, if its slow then make it gain fire version of Gale Wings and make it work to 50% of Hp, I would call it Hell Ride)

mono types were to often used in past generations, starters need to diverse.

what if we get more cats in future? for water (Jaguar, maybe water/electric) and grass(grass/rock puma)?

What about a Fire/Electric Cheetah/Leopard with Speed Boost?
I'm also interested in hearing thoughts about a Fire/Fairy Horse/Pegasus Starter with Speed Boost or Levitate.

I think that would be good on mega Rapidash.
For me Incinearoar is the best fire cat , now I want to see a water or grass one.

A good fire/electric cat poke can happen on a regular pokemon too. (but we had so many monotyped ones in past)

Fire/electric would need to be very fast like a Rabbit or very defensive oriented.
4x ground wekness makes me think this.
Snake, Horse, Scheep, Rabbit, Ox
They would need to use:
poison, ghost, fairy, electric , steel on the fire starters, that woulf be very appealing to me.

Sheep + fire+ fairy+ sound makes me want a Greek creature with flute and priority sound moves or Soundproof.

Speed Boost was used on Blaziken, Levitate really should be used maybe as secondary/hidden ability or on a mega in future?

Maybe in a perfect world pick a starter of any type even if it's dual type starters.
Maybe some starters that don't evolve,so you can pick any type.
Either way have at least 3 new types like dragon/fairy/dark

I rather like the fire, grass, water options.
They can always have diffrent moves.
That has something to do with nature and the base of it.
That works fine with me.
Maybe some will have secondary typing from start like Rowlet and Buylbasaur had?
Like a bug/water pokemon???

Rather the unexpected pikachu or other forth pokemon is good.

why not make some learn Bounce, priority moves and have right stats?

Starters and other pokes would need from start 3 abilities. Or acces to their hidden ones but with 1% of chance of hapening.
