What would you do if Pokemon existed?

I would get a nice Pokemon that would look suitible for a pet, like a Hondoom, Flareon or Ninetales; Pokemon that look like dogs. Or better yet, I would catch Suicune, Raikou and Entei, and they would be awesome pets, too! Please post what you would do. Thanks! :)

Well, geckos are harmless anyway. I would probably have a Sceptile around. That is if it's personality doesn't radically change while it turns into a dino.

Take my houndoom, poochyena, arbok, chimecho, bellossom, and charizard and ... let my imagination take me from there.

Yeah, nothing would change for me except I would carry a knife everywhere just in case 'cause if pokemon would as common and as powerful as they are potrayed then I would be dead fairly quickly. Therefore if you don't think of them like that I will most likely not change a single aspect of my life. Cause I am not an animal trainer. My dog barely understands "sit".

A knife? You'd use a knife against a Pokemon? I'd carry a machine gun!

But, I would play with them and stuff. Use them to help do stuff.

I would just train my gengar and blastoise and beat the crap out of trainers. Also just go ahead to team rocket, magma, and aqua and kill them all with gengar and blastoise yay and if in need of help my pokemon are there for you.

I'd probably be the same, except with probably 9-16 pokemon being owned by me (carrying around 3-6 all the time).

I'd probley promptly die when I go through a grassy field and then get throw many yards by a tornado created by a pidgey.

If Pokemon would be real, then i'd probably go adventuring with my Mudkip, Quilava and Pikachu by now--and probably won't be here on this forum anymore :p

I'd get a female Eevee, name her Rhea, and breed her for profit. And, as Eevee lay eggs, rather than giving live birth, it would be more fun than annoying for her.

I'd keep a few of the children for myself, of course... Name them Zeus... Hera... Poseidon... Demeter... Hades... Hestia...

If Pokemon were real, I would catch an Eevee and go on a journey with it. We'd be awsome friends, and when it gets strong enough and trusts me enough, I'd love for it to evolve into an Espeon. I'd catch awsome and cool Pokemon and train and battle with them, getting Badges. They'd be my best friends on my journey, and it'd be so cool to raise them and see them evolve. I want a big cuddly Ampharos to hug!

What the hell?

I was about to say!

It would have to depend on when they came to exist. And where. If Pokémon exist on a planet 70 million light-years away right now, or existed there but don't anymore, then it makes no difference to me.

If they had existed all over Earth "since the beginning" and our lives mirrored those of the various game, manga, and anime characters, then I would probably be doing what almost everyone else is: traveling, gym battling or participating in contests, whatever.

However, if they came to exist recently (say, within the past few years, perhaps even starting when their game or anime forms did) in the area where I live, I don't know. I'd no doubt be scared and stay cooped up like I do anyway (because, you know, I'd be a tad frightened of mysterious, weird-looking, superpowerful creatures that appeared out of nowhere and shoot flames/electricity/gallons of water per second/strong energy beams), but other than that, it would depend on the actions of others. (What if a rogue Houndour burned down our house, or if Fearow carried off my dog [or a sibling]? What if some people managed to get a few Squirtle to flood my college [among other things], or somehow started using Psychic Pokémon to control others?) And besides, how would we control them? ...Unless Pokéballs mysteriously came into existence too?
I used to think I'd have a grand ol' time and cried/wished/prayed that Pokémon would become real when I was younger. Then it occurred to me how incredibly dangerous they would be and how they perhaps wouldn't act like they often do in the show ("OMG you try to catch me!" *is caught* "What the- Yay! Hi, Master!!").
Maybe I'm just overly pessimistic.
If/when I got over the "OMGWTF" factor, I'd probably try to have fun with them. Can't say that I'd battle "for fun," though. Or maybe I would go with the flow....

Well, what I would do all depends on if starters were handed out. If no starter Pokemon were handed out then I most likely wouldn't become a trainer or anything. However, if I did get a starter, then I'd probably not go off on a journey, but just catch some local Pokemon and train them up. If there was a gym close by, like in walking distance, I'd probably go and maybe do the other gyms if I was in the area. Mostly I'd just spend time with my Pokemon and make firends with them, then scare anyone who annoys me with my super powerful Pokemon. I even sometimes daydream about doing that last bit anyway.

As for me...

At thirty-one, I'm a bit too old to start the training lark. However, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't try to get a Pokémon or two.

Being a sucker for furry and cute animals, that means a Meowth and a Growlithe/Arcanine. I would trail a Pidgey to be a Pidgeot so I could fly to work every day and avoid the bus queues. I'd probably also try to get myself a Politoed to go surfing on occasion and also a Butterfree - the all-purpose chemical weapon Pokémon.

I'd be more likely to become a Watcher than a Trainer, all-in-all. I'm too much of a softie to like fighting for a living.

In a sense, Articuno (the Pokémon) is actually talking, saying that Pokémon (like Articuno) are here, you just have to find them. Hence the avatar and the screen name.

I'd get myself a Meowth and Skitty as soon as possible.
Same here.

Having cats at home, I wonder if Meowth and Skitty do undesirable cat things, like shed, cough up furballs, puke, etc. The last thing I'd want is to step in a pile of Meowth vomit...
