Buneary was never captured.And instead Dawn captured a male pokemon[....possibly a pika chu...that looks like Sparky but more...bad-like.Like that Meowth with the boots.]that Pikachu liked...And it was proved Pikachu was female...And they changed some other stuff to fit the new plot...What would you have done[and you have no memorys of Buneary because "she" never existed.]

Probably gone on exactly as we have now. If we didn't know about Buneary's existance then we wouldn't know what we were missing, and would have nothing to compare it to.

All that would be missing is Lagomorphshipping, and fewer jokes about Pikachu being just as clueless about romance as Ash, at LEAST if it's right under its nose.

The world wouldn't have stopped turning, Pikachu would still be a guy to the majority of the fandom because there are no reasonable "hints" for Pikachu to be a chick except to the staggeringly obsessive Pikachu-is-a-girlomgkawaii fans and it doesn't matter anyway because it's not REALLY affecting the show one way or another. I haven't seen such a pointless, dumb thread sparked by shipping until now, and that's saying something, because we've all seen how nutty ship-inspired threads get.

I wouldn't care. Like he said, Pikachu's gender doesn't affect the show at all. There are more hints that he's male but I really wouldn't care.

If it were proven that Pikachu were female, then that would be that, I guess. I would, of course, wonder what was with the "Pikachu is male" hints. I couldn't undo anything, though, so besides making me think, Well, that was silly, it wouldn't do much for me.

Now what would you do if it were somehow proven that it were male? Like if they called it "otoko no ko" ("boy") in an episode, like they called Aipom "onna no ko" ("girl") in the season recap episode?

But honestly, I'm sensing some...issues here with Buneary.
