First off, an Apology:

I have been down this road before, and I hope to never return, because it's never good to waste an OP on off topic opinion.

But I'm very sorry if I have offended anyone. I personally feel that my antics, and the way I express my opinions come off as arrogant, confusing, as well as disrespectful. I am very sorry. I graduate high school soon, and I've come to the realization, that that's not cool. I'll continue to be myself, but promise to tone it down a notch, and make the mods job easier like it should be, and other users actually take me seriously and want to read my posts.

Now, to get onto the topic at hand, we all know that chronicles has been discussed to the point of exhaustion, and so has Ash being replaced. I like to look at the optimistic side of things, and would like to believe, that if Pokemon ever took the Yugioh route and created a spinoff, it could very well be successful. I wouldn't mind seeing one, especially if there were less fillers.

If the idea of a spinoff might seem unsuccessful to you, what in your opinion would make a popular one, one that would stick around, not necessarily as long as the original series, but long enough to be enjoyable, memorable, and nicely concluded eventually.

Should promotion be included, should old characters be included, should there be totally new characters, who haven't even heard of Ash and his company? Should the pokemon be from every saga, should there be fillers?

Discuss please

Conway's Stalking Safari: Conway educated the viewers in having a healthy relationship.

Cabernet Capers: Follow Cabernet in her quest to become the world's greatest Sommelier, and to defeat Dent.

Murder, She Battled: Misty in her very own murder mystery series.

I actually would like to see all three. This is a great way to start the thread off, thanks Karamazov.

Nice thread. Really positive and exersises the imagination.

Honestly, a side Trainer series (like Black & White) that gives us an alternate look at the Pokemon Anime would be good. The series would be aimed at teens but would combine mildly mature themes with light hearted elements to create a more realistic Pokemon series in terms of story, characters and such.

If the characters and story can prove to be different than Ash and Co in a very good way, then it'd really stand out.

Kasumi's One Point Check!
A show about Kasumi, that targets the more female audience of Pokemon. Since I remember quite a few girls who, like the more sparkly girly stuff in Pokemon then the actual battling journey stuff. It would center around Kasumi's everyday life and her battling and stuff it would be about 26 or 52 episodes long and Kasumi would be on a journey with Sakura to become stronger catch new Pokemon and do new things as well as solving everyday more deeper dramatic problems and challenging something big. She learns more about herself and more of her caring meek attitude shines.

None-Standard Takeshi's Road to Becoming a Pokemon Doctor!
Takeshi decides to travel around Kanto and Jouto to figure out different elements for becoming a Pokemon Doctor. Along the way he catches new Pokemon, meets new People, solves problems, and learns new doctor things. During the final 26th episode he has a battle against a powerful Pokemon Doctor who says a Doctor has to protect there patients in health and body saying Takeshi must be strong to protect his Patients as well as strong in knowledge in medicine to protect them.

Frontier Challenge: Standby For Battle!
A series chronicling Paul's Battle Frontier challenge, as well exploring some of Reggie's history as a Trainer, his greatest failure, and where the mysterious Pyramid King fits into it all. Subplots include Barry's futile attempts to surpass his father, and Caitlin's destructive hissy fits of doom.

Fennel's Naptime
A magical fantasy series following Fennel's adventures throughout the Dream World with her Musharna. Every day she deals with troublemakers and invasions of Darkrai's nightmares, as well as the corruptive influence of people's frightening, greedy or perverted dreams. Ends abruptly in an Evangelionesque way, suggesting the dreams were all just a drug induced fantasy, with Musharna highly implied to be a symbolic representation of LSD.

I support this all the way.

One with better plot or one that's based off PokeSpe.

Not all anime has to follow a main series.

Thank you! ;D

The Exorcism of Emily: This woman, along with Shuppet, become ghost busters, defeating many evil Ghost Pokemon in the region.

The Human/Venipede: Important Decision: The Venipede from the Castelia episode wants to become a human. A scientist adopts him and makes him a robotic suit. Now Venipede must learn to interact with others. But will he choose life as a human over his Venipede family? It'll be like Pinnochio, except with poisonous, magical creatures!

Keep Strong, Gary On!: Gary's action-packed adventures as a scientist. Soundtrack by The Who.

Witchy Woman: Lily travels the region of Johto and learns about magic and makes many Pokemon allies along the way.

Delia: Join Ash's mom in her teen years - a snarky, bespecled girl in a small town.

A Show in which Ash's Charizard, Charla, and what's-her-face take a two-month-long road trip across Johto. A possible crossover with Witchy Woman.

You have no idea how badly I want this. I'd love to see Ash's mom as a competent battler (like I'm pretty sure she was) and perhaps have a love interest towards the end hinting at being Ash's father. Because I'm lame like that :<

Oh yeah, and this too. *obligatory Paul reference*

Oh, idea: a gameshow where Delia picks from three men to date. At the end of each episode, she chooses a man. FOr some reason, the two will not stay together. This leads Delia to return to the show every week to find a beau.

*obligatory Paul reference*
A show in which Paul educates younger viewers about real-life issues. One episode will be about the dangers of drug abuse,a dn another about bullying. His Pokemon will act scenes out with skits!

Or a series where the characters go through the usual soap operah plots: Dawn deals with her paint-huffing addiction; Iris learns about other religions when she helps out on a Hannukah pageant; Brock dates a beautiful woman, but finds out she abuses her Pokemon.

No...I'd stick with your previous one. There's be more chances for cutesy stuff :3

Can't wait for the puberty episode considering he's PMSing all the time XD

Brock dates a beautiful woman, but finds out she abuses her Pokemon.

Paul's mom? :O

LOL, I suppose I should answer the thread too. I'd love a spin off series to focus on the every day life of Paul. It should be short and filled with mundane activities and show a different, more rugged side of the grumpy rival. I'd love this to be set pre-chimchar release as well, to see how he'd interact with his pokemon. ^^

Hm, interesting ideas (all of the above).

Is this too childish of a thought or what? I think it would be cool to have a spinoff dedicated entirely to the Pokemon. They'll be telling us exactly how it feels to be a Trainer's Pokemon.

Oh and something like a prequel... about like how many years ago... (concerning the creation/invention/discovery of Pokemon).

I'd pay to see this, especially if it was hosted by Giovanni.

That's just incredible, made me laugh a lot.

What I'd REALLY love to see is a show about Team Rocket. I don't think an episodic type show would work very well for it at all, but something with a proper story arc. Perhaps telling Team Rocket's history from the inside perspective, from Madam Boss to Giovanni's invasion of Unova?

Conway's Stalking Safari: Conway educated the viewers in having a healthy relationship.

Cabernet Capers: Follow Cabernet in her quest to become the world's greatest Sommelier, and to defeat Dent.

You, sir, clearly have a flair for tapping directly into my subconscious and unearthing my most cherished, innermost desires.

The only way to make it even better would be to combine the two and make a variety show of it. The Conway and Cabernet Hour does have a very appealling ring to it, after all.

That's My Norman!: A light-hearted family sitcom starring Norman, Caroline and Max and featuring all of Norman's wacky escapades as he tries to juggle a family life and his Gym. Plenty of guest appearences from old favourites along the way. Hilarity ensues when May stops at home one day with company... and it's not Drew!

Looker: P.I.: No explanation necessary.

Nurses: A real, inside look into the day-to-day operations of Pokemon Centres.

Team Rocket or a series with black/white
