Well I use Notepad HTML pure and simple... r0x0r the häus Notepad HTML does.

Uh yeah um so like what do you use to create your web-sites?

WordPad

I like the find/replace function better than in notepad >>

And the highlighting is better too ^^

Though on rare occasions I use DreamWeaver if I'm seriously coding something. THough I don't think I have even installed it yet...

Dreamweaver, pretty much because I use a bunch of templates for different parts of the site and often for projects. It just makes it a world and a half easier and means I can spend more time actually writing the page.

Designing is normally done using Dreamweaver, but WYSIWYG is lame for designing, especially since DW thinks it knows better than you. Pencil, Paper, Ruler and HTML is your basic set of tools for web-design - not arsing about with Dreamweaver's WYSIWYG.

I use HTML Kit.
<3 the prettiful colored tags... XD
Plus the stuff like the built-in validator...

HTML-Kit to make the layout, notepad to edit, add stuff, etc.

Meh. The pros outweigh the cons.

No one *designs* in Dreamweaver. You design in Photoshop or Fireworks and *code* in Dreamweaver. That's what it's there for.

I use Notepad. I had to sue Dreamweaver for a class and just got more frustrated with it than anything.

Notepad, Notepad & Notepad all the way except that I use Wordpad when I have to Find/Replace. Never have used a "HTML Tool" all my life.

You might want to try HTML-Kit. It's fast and is a lot better than Notepad for coding.

I may look into it. Is it free [without pirating]?

cracked version of textpad. notepad is kinda gimpy as text editors go.. I need file grepping and regexes. also WYSIWYG are cheating.
