In the ep Ash captured Gligar, Paul captures a Gliscor that was the leader of the pack.

Later on in "Chim-Charred," Paul battles Ash's Gligar with his Gliscor. It seemed like they were setting up a rivalry between the two Gliscor.

We never saw Paul release his Gliscor, but we also never saw it again.

Also, I just noticed this, but Paul tried to capture a Drapion in, "Chim-Charred," but it got away. The Ninjask he's using was also captured in a flashback in an earlier ep. I can't believe DP's continuity. That Drapion in the league may be the same one Paul tried to capture in this earlier episode.

Is anyone else rewatching older DP episodes and amazed of the continuity of Paul's team? I really wonder where Paul's Gliscor went.

Paul's team in the league may not be as random as we thought.

The Aggron is obviously the Lairon from the Brandon fight. The Ninjask was shown captured in a flashback. The blue Gastrodon may belong to the Shellos that were in that Pluto episode. And Drapion was shown trying to be caught in, "Chim-charred."

Only random one is Froslass.

As we thought? I recognized all of those implications from the first time I saw the preview.

And Paul's Gliscor died.

Really? Froslass has no connection to anything.

There was that filler about Froslass but Paul wasn't in it.

For all we know, Paul decided to release it off-screen or leave it at Reggie's in order to use some of his other Pokemon. To be honest, I don't really care. His Gliscor didn't really have that much importance, at least after Paul captured it, and I believe it was only used once after it was caught. I'm not sure if they were setting up a rivalry between Gliscor and Ash's Gligar. It felt more like they used the battle as a way to make Gligar want to get stronger and a better battler, not to just beat Gliscor. Regardless, I don't think that it is that important in the long run.

Frosslass isn't random, just like Gary´s Blastoise wasn't random, just like Drew´s Masquerim wasn't random.Dont you think it is too much of a coincidence they choose Frosslass of all things, the female evolution of Glailie?.I dont put the AG team in a pedestal like some (ie you),but it seemed pretty ovious after thinking about for a second.

As I said in another threat, this show requires money and manpower, people who work in it need to do things right if they want to eat the next week, they cant themselves to fail or do things randomly.

They cant just take a hat, throw a few numbers in it,take 5 papers out and BAM

Paul´s team is chosen!

For all we know that Froslass could be the same one from the filler. It would not surprise me if Paul caught it despite the fact that it had a little Snorunt. Its like if he caught the Arcanine in “On Cloud Arcanine” that had the baby group of Growlithe. As seen when he caught Gliscor, he doesn’t care about weak Pokemon. He just left the scene as soon as he got what he wanted and all of the Gligar were left in confusion without their leader. I could see him doing the same with the baby Growlithe and the little Snorunt.

As for his Gliscor, come on people I don’t think he released it at all. For all we know he could have used it in the earlier league matches or gym battles before his match with Barry. I don’t see Torterra anywhere, but that doesn’t mean he released it. Think, the only matches he was seen in that didn’t include Gliscor was the one in Aiding the Enemy, the Pokeringer match, the full match with Ash and the match with Brandon.

Paul picked his team carefully based on his previous matches with Ash for their full battle and Gliscor obviously wasn’t the best to face Ash’s team. His match with Brandon, that team was based on his match with Candice so a flying/ground would not be the best pick for an ice gym. Honchrow was used against Turtwig because Gliscor/Magmar/Torterra were all resting on the sidelines. The Pokeringer match well Paul probably felt that Honchrow needed the experience more. So, no I do not think that he released it is probably at Reggie’s like the reserves he is using in the match with Ash.

All it really was there for was for that one battle against Gligar, and then we only saw it once more. I would have cared it if had been involved in a few more battles, but as it wasn't, I don't really give a damn

You JUST noticed it?.... everyone said it 2352523 times already in this forum and other forums since the day we got the pic with Drapion...

The Ninjask he's using was also captured in a flashback in an earlier ep.

Everyone noticed that immediately too
I'm surprised it took you so long to realize this

That Drapion in the league may be the same one Paul tried to capture in this earlier episode.

There's no reason to believe it's the same one... just like there's no reason to believe Conway's Dusknoir is the same one from the summer school eps
But it's still continuity, since Paul got a Poké that we know he wanted before but couldn't get at that time and Conway got a Pokémon that he used to be afraid of...

Is anyone else rewatching older DP episodes and amazed of the continuity of Paul's team?

All of us realized it without the need to rewatch eps...

I really wonder where Paul's Gliscor went.

To Johto

The blue Gastrodon may belong to the Shellos that were in that Pluto episode.

???????????????
How the Johto is Paul related to that ep in any way???... wtf... Arceus help you Scott... it's a cartoon, watch and enjoy or don't watch it... stop overanazlyzing everything in a sick way like this

There was that filler about Froslass but Paul wasn't in it.

He also wasn't in the Shellos ep...

So... Scott is banned now? why? oh well, he deserve to be banned for making all these ridiculous threads

That Gliscor is actually the Gliscor ash is using in the Paul battle, as a double. The little bastard betrayed his owner, and worked from the inside. He be a true ninja.
