What's everyone's opinion of Colosseum and XD?

In relation to the other games? I found Colosseum to be the most enjoyable Pokémon game I've played yet. Not played XD yet though.

I just enjoyed the atmosphere, the detail. And stealing Pokémon is something I think we all wanted to do.

What does everyone think? Love them? Hate them?

Both games are generally fun though I like them both primarily because in Colosseum, one can get a legit Ho-oh (all) and Celebi/Jirachi (depending on the region excluding PAL) and in Xtra Dimension or XD one can get a legit Lugia.

Yeah, Colosseum is quite fun.

I also enjoy Colosseum due to Wes. Starts as an Anti-hero and has a generally badass demeanor. By far the best player character in Pokémon.

I've seen pics of Michael from XD and it's such a step-down from that. He actually looks like he could be Wes and Rui's son but that's impossible since there's only 5 years in between, IIRC.

No one really knows what XD stands for. The commercial indirectly said Xtra Dimension, but Wikipedia says Xtra Dark. It's not really important though. Michael is pretty cool, you just have to remember he's younger than Wes.

I enjoyed both of them, but I like XD better because it's easier to purify the Shadow Pokemon. I only ended up Purifying 5 of the ones I caught on Collosseum, but I've done about 20 on XD.

I really like the fact that you can trade your Pokemon to your GameBoy games, as well, because it makes it so much easier to complete the PokeDex.

I thought the RPG element was a nice touch for a non-hand held game, but I keep thinking it could have been better, maybe with the inclusion of wild pokémon.

If you could combine both into one, you'd probably get a really good game. But both of them seem mediocre on their own. Plus there's no wild Pokemon and the all-desert Mad Max terrain gets boring really fast.
