What's GROWING on? A look at Bulbapedia's newest additions from March 2026

Edited artwork of Ditto (in human form), Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur next to a Leppa Berry
As Bulbagarden's community-driven encyclopedia, Bulbapedia is always growing thanks to the hard work and dedication of Pokémon fans across the world. Each day new edits and contributions sprout up as contributors bring their expertise and passion to the project. Let's take a moment to highlight some of the standout contributions that blossomed in March 2026.

Pokopedia bulb
Ditto the Fool!

This April we celebrated April Fools' Day at Bulbagarden with a Pokémon Pokopia theme. The forums adopted a theme titled Let's Get This Place Humid! (April Fools 2026) featuring "Gyaru Bulbasaur", while Bulbapedia became Pokopedia, with a Ditto-themed main page design and a message from Professor Tangrowth, including a link to a joke article titled Human (not Pokémon).

In Pokémon Pokopia itself, a one-day event involved town members imitating other Pokémon. Guessing the imitated Pokémon correctly three times allowed players to receive a new item in the form of the Inflatable Sudowoodo, a wacky waving inflatable limb-flailing tube 'mon decoration.

Additionally, TPCi uploaded a 10-hour livestream featuring a Mega Starmie running, while Pokémon GO finally brought about the debut of Mimikyu. (Too bad about the Pokémon Masters event though…)

Thanks to our volunteers for detailing this year’s jokes, events, and fun - because of our editors, we have a detailed history of April Fools’ in the Pokémon community dating all the way back to 2005! Check out this directory to find the pages for each year.

A Cornucopia of Pokopia Content
Main article: Pokémon Pokopia

It’s been one month since Pokémon Pokopia released and our editors have been hard at work adding content and creating pages for this wonderful new adventure!
Additional thanks to Blueapple128, D.johnson994, DorsalAxe, FinnishPokéFan92, UB00, minibug, and many more for working hard on covering everything there is to know about this exciting new entry to the franchise!

Coverage is still underway! Create an account to start adding content, or join the conversation in the Pokopia editing thread in the Discord server. Look forward to seeing you!

Spin to win / Perfectly ordered
Main articles: Ninja Spinner (TCG); Perfect Order (TCG)

The fourth MEGA Series expansion, Ninja Spinner, launched in Japan this month, introducing Mega Greninja and Mega Floette to the game! This Kalos-focused set is primarily themed around the climax of Pokémon Legends: Z-A. There is a slew of gorgeous new illustration rares to collect, and we suspect collectors have their eyes on Susumu Maeya's combined illustration of Froakie, Frogadier, and Mega Greninja. However, not everything needs to be flashy to be notable: Special Red Card and the humble Patrat are likely to make waves at the top tables of upcoming Premier Events as well!

Of course, we can't have Legends: Z-A without Mega Zygarde! Perfect Order released internationally this month, with cards mostly hailing from Nihil Zero, released in Japan earlier this year. Did you know Mega Zygarde ex has the highest HP of any tournament-legal Basic Pokémon? Or that its special Pokémon Tool card, Core Memory, has the highest base damage of any tournament-legal attack? This expansion has brought with it the new 2026-27 Standard format - a moment of silence for Gardevoir ex, Gholdengo ex, and Charizard ex...

A big thank you to everyone on our TCG team for keeping the litany of pages related to these new releases up to date. You guys rock!

Mega Gengar ex (Mega Shine 114) Shiny super rare card Illus. PLANETA CG Works
Make You Mega Shine

Main article: Mega Shine (TCG Pocket)

This new TCG Pocket-themed booster pack feels familiar... Oh, it's like Shining Revelry, this time as Mega Shine! With another Ghost-type Pokémon as the mascot, that being Mega Gengar, and an animated trailer that feels both cute and cool at the same time, we are sure that millions are gonna like this new addition to the card-collecting game. Just open up the app, and...oooh, it's a Shiny Dratini!

Thank you to our TCG Pocket volunteers for covering everything this pack has to offer, including the card list, Themed Collections, and the Dex and Deck Missions, with the list of solo battles to come.

You can keep up to date on all of your TCG Pocket needs via our very own Pocket Portal, powered by our TCG Pocket team.

Oh, and while you're here, why not check out the official trailer for Mega Shine!

Game Boy Jukebox and catridges
Classic Beats!

Main article: Game Boy Jukebox

Last month we mentioned the Game Boy Jukebox among the many announcements from Pokémon's 30th Anniversary. Well thanks to CrownMyFries, we now have a full article on the nostalgic mini music player designed to sound just like the original Game Boy hardware. Good work, CrownMyFries! Can't wait to see what you do next.

More additions keep things moving
Hyperspace Hole in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Did Legends: Z-A move you, Trainers? It certainly made a special (and physical!) impact on us here at Bulbagarden. One of our newer contributors, Realtimeless, made it their mission to obtain an image of every available move in both Z-A and the Mega Dimension DLC, going above and beyond (through?) the Hyperspace Hole with their efforts! A Mega-Hyper thank you to both of them.

Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver may have released over 15 years ago, but the games' walking Pokémon feature has remained a benchmark for many to this day. Although a complete catalogue will be challenging, this list and details about the hidden mood value represent a big step in comprehensively documenting these obscure interactions in walking Pokémon. Thanks to Wowy and Zyxyz for their work on this content!

A particular shout-out to Superfrog101, who has been carrying the 2011 DS game Learn with Pokémon: Typing Adventure entirely on their back. Arceus-speed, our froggy friend!

Several Bulbasaur approach Venusaur in the Mysterious Garden, as seen in the episode Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden
Bulbagarden oldies might remember our great site is named after Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden, the animated series episode set in the Mysterious Garden. So imagine our surprise when we discovered our encyclopedia didn't have a page for this historic location! Luckily keen-eyed contributor Dharakjoo spotted the oversight and swiftly rectified it with a perfectly formed article! Many thanks, Dharakjoo.

Thanks to an incredible amount of effort and research on the part of RotomAmiti, we now have a comprehensive article on errata in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, covering cards or groups of cards whose official text has been corrected or updated after release by Wizards of the Coast and The Pokémon Company. Way to go Rotom!

Bulletin Board highlights
Each issue we show our appreciation to those who contribute to the community Bulletin Board. This time we have 6 (wow!) volunteers who contributed last month.
Want to help too? Hop into the Bulbapedia Bulletin Board and complete a task to expand the wiki and get featured in the next issue of What’s Growing On. What a Tangrowth mindset!

The Bulbapedia team is able to bring this article thanks to the contributions of our dedicated community volunteers. We’re always welcoming new editors as we continue to expand and enhance our shared knowledge of the Pokémon franchise. If you'd like to help out, check out our guide on getting started, or come chat with us on the Bulbagarden Discord server. We look forward to seeing you!
