Couldn't find a thread specifically about this, but I brought it up because I heard it mentioned in another.

There's a rumor (at the very least) going around that B&W are going to be packaged in a box similar to HG/SS, with the plastic game case being removable. This means there's space for another item. What do you think this 'thing' is going to be, if you think there's going to be a 'thing' at all? Please vote and comment.

It was in Coro Coro and everything that the plastic boxes are in a cardboard box with a slightly edited design.

As for what's in it, yes I know there's something, but I do not know off the top of my head what it is.

EDIT: Hang on, it's not the keychains is it?

Ah. Well, hopefully it's more interesting than a mascot figure. I'd just toss that, anyway. :-|

What's the source of this rumour?

The official site shows two different box arts for both Black and White and apparently they said there's a "secret" about the boxes
I really hope for something similar to the Pokéwalker, but if we'd have something like that, they'd probably advertise it by now... so I don't know... figure could be nice
Not sure what else it could be... but I hope it'd be something good...
I hope there's even something included at all, for all we know there's nothing, though in that case I don't get why they'd bother with special/bigger boxes... HGSS did it only to include the Pokéwalker with the games, it'd be pointless to make special box for no reason

I thought it was the slip cover had an alternative picture of Reshram and Zekrom with their tails lit up

I voted for "thicker instruction manual" ... 'cause I like to read them...

Oh, shut up! I feel the judgement in your eyes!!

Talking keychains is the only thing I could see in them.

I'd like a keychain. Not a talking one (I don't want some American/Japanese voice-actor going 'Reshiram!' in a deep voice every time it's bumped) but it would be a nice thing to clip to my school-bag.

No it won't be a person it is Reshiram and Zekrom's cries from the games.

Nah, I actually think the games would benefit from this. A hard-cover 'Guide to Ishuu'. Trivia and things.

I was under the impression that the secret or surprise was the two different box arts.

If not, then I guess a stylus maybe.

I'm going to guess that the outside cases (Zekrom's flashing tail for example. Y'know, those ones) will be used for Pre-Order copies, and the bigger boxes will contain the Sound Drops. The regular boxes then, would be used for release day onwards.

Going into a fanboy mode, I'd like to see the inside of the outer cardboard box contain, pre-order exclusive Global Link codes. Or a slip of paper with them on.

The boxes could also just be an aesthetic thing just to make the games look nice?? But I'm hoping the surprise is something cool.

Yeah, but the disappointment that there isn't a cool accessory in there wouldn't be made up by a cool looking case. They can do it with a normal case- take Platinum for example....

I agree, I am a fan of the cool shiny graphics from platinum
