I was just wondering about the overall thoughts on Pokemon Battle Revolution here.

The visuals range between kind of shoddy and amazing, and the range of gameplay is somewhat lacking. Nonetheless, it's currently the only way to have 3D battles in the 4th generation.

I like everything about it except the Neon Colo., the stupid Roulette battle style made me catch 6 Magikarp for an all Magikarp team!

The game is okay if you want more visual effects when your battling or just want to see how good your team really is.

If your not a heavy battler then I wouldn't buy it. There's no storyline or anything.

Needs more customization other than recolours.

Also needs more people on wifi.

It just feels lazily put together, with terrible AI and seemingly randomly generated rosters for the most part leading to a fairly mindless single-player mode. At least the Pokemon Stadium series required you to use actual strategy to defeat opposing trainers and even included the Pokemon Box and 3X speed Game Boy Player feature.

Well, I kinda liked it. Sunset Colosseum took many months to beat, though. And Survival was a real pain. Like every Stadium game, the AI cheats.

I like PBR; I never got a chance to experience Stadium, Colosseum, or XD, so it was really novel playing in 3D. Plus I got a free Magmortar and Electivire from it lol :p.

If you can get it super-cheap, go for it.

It's sure not worth the whole $50 retail price, though. I mean, Wifi battles on the Wii and somewhat customizable characters are fun and all, but that's pretty much all there is to it. It's so bare-bones. Throw in loads of mini-games, a Box/Ranch-esque storage system, way more customization, and some other nifty things like being able to play the DS games on your TV (using the DS as a controller) and a Wii-based GTS, and then you have something. As it stands, eh.

I enjoyed it, but a lot of others didn't. Partially because of Wi-Fi battles since I'm the only Pokémon player I know, so I can't do regular battles on DPPt.

I only play it for the WiFi battles. The rest of the game is awful. It's also extremely repetitive, even for a pokemon game.

If it weren't for the random WiFi battles, then I wouldn't recommend it at all. :/

My thoughts on it?

"GUYS DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? WE HATE "COLOSSEUM" BULLCRAP. GIVE US OUR STADIUM 3 NOW."

I personally miss the Poké Cup and the Prime Cup the most. Hell, Stadium 1 and 2 were awesome because they were essentially the Battle Frontier before it existed.

While I don't own this game. I do know someone that does and it's a really medicore game.

I mean it was like they came up with the game with this line of thinking, "Okay, how can we make a Pokémon Wii game really quickly so we can release it with the Diamond/Pearl Pokémon in it."

Really, it was like that's how they came up with this game and there has been no other Pokémon Wii since then. When is Nintendo going to give us a Pokémon Wii game where it has the GCN-style RPG gameplay that was popular and include Stadium 3-style features as a bonus for gamers like me who have been wanting Pokémon Stadium 3 since Gen III came out.
