Well, today (Tuesday), I didn't have work 'til 2PM, so i decided to sleep til 1. I got 11 hours of sleep the night before. I know I wont be able to get to sleep tonight after being awake for only 9 hours, so I've decided to just stay up the rest of the night and go to work tomorrow (Wednesday). Tomorrows shift is from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM, so I have to go to work in literally a few hours. By then, I will have been awake for a full 24 hours. I do plan to finish out the day and sleep again around 10 PM, which will make 33 hours of consecutive awakeness. I don't have work the day after (Thursday), so I can catch up on all the sleep I need. I shall report back here then with the actual hourage count.

Yes, I know this is unhealthy, don't go telling me that, but sometimes I like to push my limits.

Well, this story wouldn't make much of a topic, so go on and post the longest you've ever had to stay awake. Only consecutive hours count. If you took a nap, then your number goes back down to zero.

I remember one time I woke up at like 11 am and went to bed at 6am of the next day
I remember when I went to bed the sun was up and my dad was in the kitchen and I felt sooooo guilty!

I've done a few hours - but I have bad memories of myself having to do to the toilet every 10 minutes like 6 times in a frecking row before taking a Panadol and getting like 5 hours sleep. X(

The latest I've ever stayed awake was until a little after 6am.

I stay up all night quite a few times, heck I've even been to school without any sleep.

Longest I've been awake for would've been somewhere around 30-35 hours, perhaps more, but I've done that length of sleep deprivation a dozen times now.

27 hours. Which is quite a lot when you realise that I'm only 14. I'm, like, [one of] the epitome of sleep deprivation. :D

I've never done more than 24 hours. It's usually about 18 hours, though more if I stayed up very late on a school day.

Well, there was one time where I'd gotten up about 10AM one day. Then something happened which made me really worried and I couldn't sleep for even a minute that night. I was so worried that I made it all through the next day without noticing that I was tired. Things got worked out at about midnight and I then went to sleep, so that's about 38 hours.

Around 43 hours. From Arkansas/Oklahoma to Orlando,FL. We didnt stop ANYWHERE to sleep and i cant sleep on a coach/bus. we then proceded directly to MGM studios, where we didnt get to go to our hotel until 11:00P.M.

That would be when I went to Europe. I woke up at about 8:00AM Eastern Time, and went to sleep (in Europe) at about 5:00PM Eastern Time the next day for a grand total of about 33 hours. I was so tired. I kept almost falling asleep while walking, riding in a taxi, etc. It wasn't just that I was staying awake; it was culture shock, finding my way around a foreign country, everything! I've never been so tired in my life. Just thinking about it makes me feel tired.

Few days, wanna say up to two weeks, but the days started to meld into one, tiring experience. Insomnia's fun...

My mum'd never let me stay up all night, I stayed up pretty late when I was at camp over summer though. About 3am :) Up again at 7, so that's not *too* bad.

Awake for 2 days and a half-_-, because my parents were having a vacation in another country

College exams + adderal = 36 happy hours.
Same here, the longest I've ever stayed up was about 3 days. It was my freshman year in college, I had to finish a paper and study for a test, the first day I was up to study for the test, the second was to finish a paper earily, and the third was to go with my friends to marine world (aka six flags norcal, I wasn't about to cancel it because I had planed it for a while). I had a lot of caffine and energy drinks that day and clocked out when I got back, lol.

In other news the longest I've ever slept was about 24 hours straight, maybe 72 inconsistant. It was the first time coming back from an international flight, and it was kind of a funny story. I took my suitcase back in my house and my dad just said "You guys may want to lay down before the jet lag kicks in" and I fallowed with "Oh I fill fine, I actually feel pretty hyper". Then I turned on my computer and just went to BMGf, and I passed out on my bed without knowing. I woke up what felt like an hour later, and it was about two hours after the time I went to sleep... the next day. I walked around kind of confused after and went back to sleep about 30 mins later to wake up the next day. I did basically the same thing the fallowing staying awake for maybe 6 hours or so and continued getting 12+ hours of sleep each day until the end of the week when I went back to normal.

It wasn't funny then (it actually freaked me out being an extreme and first case of jet lag) but now it's hilarious (to me anyways).

I might have hit 24 hours the night I graduated. Not sure.

It's not unusual for me to get home at 2am some nights, and I am not an especially late sleeper (got home at 2 last night, got up this morning around 9).

To compensate for jetlag, I did a 32 hour day going to Europe and a 24 hour day on the way back, as things played out. That was rough both ways.

(Going: 4 hours awake -> 11 hours in transit -> 4 hour layover -> 2 hours in transit -> 1 hour in the airport -> full 8-hour day. On the way back: 3 hours awake -> 3 hours in transit -> 1 hour layover -> 11 hours in transit -> 6 hours at home awake.)
