I thought Ghost of Maiden's Peak was pretty funny not just because of Gastly beasting on everybody but the ridiculousliness of the seriousness at the end
I also thought the collection of Ash trying to beat Sabrina was pretty trippy/funny

But I have to give it to: Primeape Goes Bananas
It's full of all of the great Pokemon gags
Good times

hmmm interesting choices because I thought those episodes were the more serious ones in the series... at least thats my perspective. The funniest I have seen is the shuckle episode from Johto. Best pat was Meowth falling for James and making him quite uncomfortable.

Claydol Big and Tall, Where No Togepi Has Gone Before!, UnBEARable, Movie Time! Zorua and the Legend of the Pokémon Knight!, Pikachu's Vacation, A Way Off Day Off, Big Meowth, Little Dreams(the whole thing) and Holy Matrimony are the funniest episodes of their respective sets/subshows.

Oobemu and Doublan and the Dream Thief is hilarious, it's also my favorite BW episode behind Gamagaru, Maggyo! Battle on the Waterfront.

The ones I can remember being funny right at the top of my head would be unBEARable, Fortune hunters, Why Wynaut?, and that episode where meowth is sad cause he feels wobuffet has replaced him.

I don't really remember them, but I recently saw a first season episode that cracked me up "Round One-- Begin!" where Ash's Krabby simply kicks an Exeggutor with one of it's puny legs and KO's it, also the next episode where his Kingler was continously smacking a Cloyster, idk why but it was just too funny lol

Claydol Big and Tall is probably the funniest. So many great lines. I think my favorite dialogue went something like:

"It's Team Rocket's balloon!"
"Do you think they'd buy any souveniers?"
"They're crooks, you don't want to get mixed up with them. And besides, they never have any money."

And Ash in an eggplant costume is always great.
"...how does this always happen."

Another one I just thought of is the one where they take the Pokemon test to try to get into the Indigo League

Get your Rotom running, they didn't ruin by making the Rotom "just lonley", it was just a dick
and Stratagy tommorow-- Comedy tonight, an obvious one and also Once in a Mawile

I think I'll have to echo this. That episode was fantastic.

If Pikachu shorts count, then "The Secret Base of Dancing Pokémon" wins hands down. It's like a Pokémon version of a Tom and Jerry cartoon.

As far as regular episodes go, I can't recall ever laughing harder than I did at "Tag Battle! Satoshi vs. Haruka". It's nice to see an episode where the Pokémon take a backseat to the trainers - there's so much great character-based humor in this. After spending so much time together, I think it only makes sense that Satoshi and Haruka would start to get on each others' nerves every now and again. And all the battles in this thing are hysterical.

Ah, well I guess I'll go with my two favourite episodes. "The Punchy Pokémon" and "Where No Togepi Has Gone Before!"

It's argueable that there are probably funnier episodes, but these two in particular are episode I've always loved and found funny.

"Barry's Busting Out All Over." Not only is the title pretty funny, but Barry is AWESOME in his debut. No character makes me laugh as hard as Barry. And I thought the part where James is on his knees asking Barry about Cacnea was simultaneously creepy and hilarious. And my favorite, "Staraptor! Do something!" Ah, good times...

*and on a side note, I think the actual title "Casting A Paul on Barry" is pretty hilarious too ;) *

"The Bicker, the Better," and that one from Petalburg City where Team Rocket dressed up as May's entire family, also with those townspeople ganging up on Ash.

Episode 9: School of Hard Knocks
If you have never seen this one, you are missing out. I have never laughed so hard during a Pokémon episode :) :) :)
It's truly the funniest one that I've seen; the jokes were really hilarious :)

The funniest I have seen is the shuckle episode from Johto. Best pat was Meowth falling for James and making him quite uncomfortable.

I loved that one, too. One of the best from the underwhelming Johto series. Brock's reaction to Old Man Shuckle ("It's one of those ugly disgusting trolls!") had me in stitches.

Any episode where everyone is tormented by mischievous Pokemon, like The Tower Of Terror, Get Your Rotom Running or Where No Togepi Has Gone Before. Pokemopolis were right all along; Togepi is pure evil!

Byron's enthusiasm in Ancient Family Matters was hilarious as well. How could anyone get that excited over expertly dug holes?

The funniest episode of BW so far was Emolga And The New Volt Switch. Emolga acted like a total diva and shocked everyone when she didn't get her own way, but at least Cilan and Bianca liked their new hair styles. Snivy sighing irritably over the mayhem caused by Emolga's apple theft was classic.

Honestly, there are so many hilarious episodes in Pokemon...

But I have never laughed harder at any episode than I laughed at The Fortune Hunters. I'm talking gut-wrenching, doubled over laughing so hard I'm crying kind of laughing. I don't think anything will ever top the hilarity of James thinking he was a Moltres.

When I was a kid I was obsessed with the 'Ghost of Maidens Peak' episode from Kanto. Pokemon are overexposed these days but back then the concept was raw. Ghastly made me laugh so much from that episode, it looked super funny to me at the time and the fact that it wanted to earn money for itself was the funniest thing ever. I was more easily pleased back then, but I'd still have to go with that episode, even now. James and Brock were on top form in those days too.
