Like, is there an uber clause, do you battle live people, etc. I don't wanna face some newbie and wipe out his team with an uber or vice versa.

EDIT: WiFi battling, that is.

You can only battle people on your friend list - so you have to actually know them to exchange friend codes. So it's a case of "Set your own rules" and "Choose your own opponents". So there's no real danger of ubers or n00bs.
 
You can battle random teams on Wifi in the Battle Tower, but they will be CPU controlled.
 
But can the CPU's have ubers? I'm not looking forward to the day when I have to face up to a CPU-controlled team of ubers.

Then again, they probably won't pose much threat. :\
