What's under Diglett?

Does anybody know? Like, How can Diglett use scratch,fury swipes and cut? What do you think is under Diglett?

Since it's a mole, I think it has feet. Otherwise, it might be that Diglett sharpens rocks; since it can use Stone Edge.
 
Maybe it has some kind of mole legs, either way it has to dig somehow, but i guess that's the mystery of pokemon, which also makes it cool in my opinion :)
 
Feet, just that, like those of a mole, considering the simpler/plainer designs of Gen 1.

According to species name, Diglett may be based on a mole, but Drilbur is a true mole according to design.
 
Umm... a giant creature using a cute little thing as a lure? When I was a kid I always saw it as a worm thing.
