Whats wrong with Battle hall?

Im trying to do a double battle and most of my rodents are above 30. And it STILL wont let me try it, but it has no problem doing singles. What the hell do I have to do to please these people?

for double battles you must use 2 pokemon of the same species, like two pikachu, two sceptiles, or two zangoose (I'm just saying some random names)

What about Plusle and Minun?

so that means no. Two plusles or two minun's is ok though.
