What's your aim in the games?

When do you call you've completed the game?

1. Won all gym badges, beat all elites and became Pokémon Master?

2. Along with 1, completed your Pokédex and see all Pokémons?

3. Along with 2, even captured all the Pokémon?

I just win the leagues and become Pokémon Master. That's when I stop playing it.

Moreover, I don't even like the Pokémon species after generation 1. The new Pokémon seems stupid, as if they made them just for the sake of making new ones.
But even in generation 1, I didn't saw or caught them all. Only what I caught on my way, before I beat Elite 4.

I beat the main story and train my Pokes. Sometimes I'll try to beat the Dex, but I am yet to succeed in any game.

Also, did you know that a lot of Gen II Pokes were meant to be for Gen I? I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but you just seem like another nostalgia-blinded-hater.

i do everything i can possible lol
badges, elite four, dex, constant battling and training. yup ^^

Beat the game try to complete the dex and train to battle other trainers and beat battle tower.

What is that? lol...

Well, generally it's someone who loves the first Gen and hates on the latest Gens, for no reason other than nostalgia. Buuuuut, you might not be, I could be wrong. I am not you so I wouldn't know. So I am sorry if I was wrong. But I digress.

Also, after beating the game, I generally try to "play" with the game - walk through walls FTW!

Well I'm more into anime than games. I didn't even knew that pokemon games exist when i already loved the anime.
Unfortunately, I was able to watch only 4 seasons, then the CartoonNetwork here started repeating old episodes, and by the time they aired new episodes, i got busy with studies. So yeah, indeed I like generation 1 pokemon only. The latter ones, I don't know much about them. Most of them seem stupid though. They were made just for the sake of making new pokémon.

If that is your opinion, but some of my favorites are from later Gens, but overall I think my favorite Gen is Gen I.

Many things.

As of Gen III, I try to at very least complete the regional Dex of one game of any given generation. I got full dex in Pearl and White (minus the 3 unreleased legendaries), and now I'm trying to complete Silver's dex (hope the battery doesn't die on me halfway).

I also enjoy the competitive aspect of the games, esp. building teams and participating in tourneys, as well as casually playing through the main story with the Pokemon I haven't used before. For extra challange, I sometimes set myself rules like "No Lucky Egg" in White or "Avoid all trainers" in FireRed.

My favourite thing to do would be playing at Battle Frontier though. I sunk well over 300 hours into the Emerald one, and about 100 hours in Plat. This place is like a crack. :)

First and foremost, I just try to beat the main story. Beyond that, I try to catch every Pokemon that I like and get them all to at least level 70. And my new obsession in Black Version is battling the trainers in the stadiums every day to amass unbelievable amounts of money. I don't even use it, but just seeing all that money makes me feel accomplished for some reason, lol.

Well, I'm not sure when I consider the game completed. I remember back on my old Sapphire version I made a point of catching at least one of every single pokemon in the game. Ugh... So... Many... Yeah so I don't think I'll ever do that again, especially now that the number of pokemon seems to just increase more and more.
I guess I consider the game "completed" when I've beaten all the story line's which includes all the mini stories and quests as well. However, I don't really ever feel like the game is finished. There is still all the fun competetive stuff to do such as Battle Frontier and Battle Subway, plus I can always fight my friends and play online.

I think generally my aim in the games is to make at least 2-3 really powerful teams by the end of the game so that I can use them repetitively for other competitive purposes in the game.

First of all, I beat the main game story and watch the credits. That's my number one aim. After that, it depends on the version.

In Gen III and IV, I turn to the Battle Frontier, especially Battle Factory cuz it's my fav, and I try to get stickers (or medals) from the brains XDD If there's a post-boss, I try to reach him, too. I battled Steven in Meteor Falls, but I hadn't been able to get to Mt. Silver, so this time when I get through my Soulsilver, I'm gonna get him.

In Gen V... I went to the Battle Subway, but I can't even win the normal lines once. No Super line for me. So I dropped that place and I turn to the Royal Unova and spam my Reshiram at the trainers XDD

I like to try to complete my pokedex. And getting a ton of random wifi trades on my GTS globe! That's always really cool to look at.

I just do 1. That's the whole point of a game isn't it? Though I do occasionally train specific ones to face my buddies w/.

I try to be the very best, like no one ever was. Because to catch them is my test, and to train them is my cause. To do this, I will travel across the land, searching far and wide.

I beat the E4 and try to get all the pokemon. I am at 450 out of 649!

Well, the first game I play, like White in gen 5, I try to complete the Pokedex. I did it on Pearl, but that was with cheating because I didn't know about the wifi trading and everything. I'm still working on completing the Pokedex and getting all the Pokemon on White, legitimately this time. I just started Black today, but I don't plan on completing the entire national Pokedex. I'll only do the Unova dex and then catch whats in teh game after defeating the Elite Four.

I start by trying to defeat the E4 and Champion, then when I've done that I try and fill the regional Dex, then sometimes the Nat Dex, and getting all my Pokemon to lv.100 and so on.
