Well, I got this idea because of today being turkey (thanksgiving) day. My grandma always asks me this every year, and since she told me already today, it made me want to put up this post. So actually, my grandma gave me the idea for this post.

My favorite holiday is New Year's Day, because New Year's is also my birthday!:birthday: Yeah, I know it's awesome.

Yeah, really!

"New Year's Day" because it's such a beautiful song.... :bawling:

j/k (though it is an absolutely beautiful song...

Do I actually have a favorite holiday, considering I don't celebrate any of them? Um, Halloween has a nice time of year that, as I've said before, feels "magical" to me. I think it was my favorite holiday when I was (much) younger because of the candy and occasional roasted pumpkin seeds from school, pretty color scheme, and fun Halloweeny stuff we did (not to mention that magical feeling).

Christmas might have been second; however, it had all this annoying stuff (forced carol singing in school, cards, cold weather) and it just generally felt kind of sad. We did get tons of cookies, though, and we did stuff with glitter, and "Silent Night" used to be my favorite Christmas song.

I really enjoy Christmas, because of presents, that awesome "aura" you feel during that time. Plus, you get to enjoy time with your family, but since I'm celebrating up north, it gets really cold, which I hate. IN addition, I have no homework. Plus, I'm able to see my cousin again, and get that Cranidos/Rampardos I've been wanting. And, we can trade OTHER Pokemon with each other. IN ADDITION, awesome food.

Yeah.

This poll is biased towards Christians and Americans. Good job. My favorite holiday is not up there, but of the ones there, Halloween.

i agree with rain man.

this poll is extremely biased towards christians and americans: there is no
st.george's day
guy fawks night
OR EVEN Hanukkah

i'm not even going to go into the rest of them

It's kind of corny to say it but once you strip away all the commercial cheapening of the Holiday, there's no other quite like Christmas.

It's almost like the entire world changes. The weather becomes colder, snow blankets the ground, lights pop up everywhere, there is an almost magical aura to existence for a short period. I know of no other day that giving to your fellow man is promoted on such a large scale.

Labor Thanksgiving Day.

It's the coolest fuckingest ripoff holiday ever.

Actually, I like the 4th of July best. I get together with my family and we go to the beach to watch the fireworks, that's fun. Except I hate driving in the traffic afterwards.

Also, I might add... though I'm not Christian I actually enjoy the 25th (yeah, that's all I'll call it), because as a tradition back in the day my family would go out to eat or see a movie or something, or basically do something fun in wherever's open that doesn't involve presents or santa.

Pulaski Day. Nothing better than a day off in the beginning of March which falls on my birthday a seventh of the time.

Christmas eve lol? I like the build up towards christmas, particularly when I was younger getting all the presents, then comes christmas day, which is good till about noon, when you know what your presents are, in which case obviously by that time you are totally bored of them and then have to sit for 2 hours at christmas dinner being forced to talk to your old folks.

My favorite holiday is Christmas. There's no school, you get presents, and you eat delicious food. :)

Christmas, of course, everyone comes together and everyone spreads their love. Hopefully for the right reasons!

No... wait... the Queens Birthday holiday is the best because, no school or work.

Halloween baby, laying with you in the graveyard, eating some candy ;P

Well, I'm Hindu, but I still 'kinda' celebrate Christmas and english New Year. Though it would be nice if it had Hindu New Year which is 14th of April. But hey, I can't dis the other holidays - all of them are great in themselves.
