don't get all into base stats we all know mewtwo is the boss. Favorite legendary from gen 1-4? sorry for any legendaries not in the poll. My all time favorite: MISSINGNO!!!!!

It's a tie between Mew and Celebi. They're both just too cute! <3

I'm also rather fond of Kyogre, Rayquaza, Mewtwo, Latios/Latias, and Suicune.
 
I like Ho-oh. It's the only legendary I've ever bothered to train.
 
Arceus. But really, that was influenced from the movies. The anime has made a great job making me like/dislike Pokémon. If I didn't watch the anime, my favorite would probably be Dialga simply because it looks badass XD
And I never really liked Mewtwo. During the first generations, my favorite was probably Mew, but I'm not sure. I was 4-6 at the time, so I can't remember XD
 
NOTE: Glitch pokemon are legendaries at least in this thread.
 
Jirachi, I like the fairy legends but I like Jirachi's design best.
 
Um, why are gen 5 legendaries not in this poll? Do you have something against them or something? My favorite legendary is from gen 5, and I don't like seeing them excluded.

Well, the question is asking what your favorite legendary from generations I through IV are, so I'm assuming he simply wanted to know what your favorite legendary Pokémon from past generations are, not your current favorite overall. With that said, I don't see it as a matter of disdain but of curiosity for people's opinions on past Pokémon. Sort of like asking "What's your favorite Beatles song written by Paul McCartney?" as opposed to "What's your favorite song written by Paul McCartney to include his work in the Beatles as well as in Wings and his solo work?"

It's hard to go past Mewtwo: "the world's strongest Pokemon".
 
Manaphy. It was the cutest little Pokémon I'd ever seen~! <3 After that would be Mew and Celebi.

Reshiram has a pet cactus named Jim? Either way, If you wish to know why this is from gen I through IV, it is to relive some moments that were long ago, like when you first caught Mewtwo in the Cerulean cave.
