What's your favorite mobile Pokémon game? Even if it's a game you don't play anymore or possibly dropped because of some reason, what is, in your opinion, the best developed mobile game of the franchise?

masters ex!! I haven't played in a while and I'll probably delete it because it takes up sooo much storage but I've always loved seeing the character interactions!!! I like to imagine it's an alternate universe where all the events are set up to increase publicity :bulbaLol: and the outfits are great too :3

My favorite is Pokemon Sleep! Its fun to check up on Snorlax through out the day and trying to figure out the best strategy for raising its strength. Also, its a really fun "Number go up game" and I like seeing myself hit 150 million points or more by the end of the week lol.

Mine is Pokémon GO. It may have more than its fair share of flaws, but at the end of the day, it gets my near-shut-in ass out of the house and talking to people, and that's honestly something I desperately need in my life. Not to mention the exercise is nice.

Pokémon Masters EX has the best execution of any of the Pokémon mobile releases (that I've played). I think its the one that best delivers on "what if you could play Pokémon on your phone?" by hewing close enough to base Pokémon gameplay but still having its own mechanical identity. While the story doesn't hit home runs, it has a story and it does follow through Pokémon themes and conventions. And it has that story content in a quantity that I think will probably surpass most other games.

TCG mobile.
Pokemon Go is not really a game, for most of the time there is nothing for you to do, it is just a collecting tool. You collect pokemons, they collect personal data. I had been trying to move my pokemons out from it months ago, and now I only play on community days. It does contribute a lot to the GTS economy though.
The TCG mobile is well made, not buggy, even better than pokemon home. And has all these card animations and card-like sound effects and even slide to open a pack. I thought "I am never going to play TCG. Such silly thing, that is just a card game" before and started it because the app is free, but now I found myself quite into it.
I am not going to support Unite, a game developed by a terrorist group, in any possible way. No way. I am not downloading it, I am not even going to click on it.

Masters EX. Despite the gacha system being frustrating at times it has genuinely led to some of the best experiences I've ever had with Pokémon and after 2 years of playing it, I quite have enough absolute favorites and units who can win the types of battles I want (Ultimate Battles) to where I no longer really strongly desire much more units. There could be Extreme Battle Events I miss or such but I don’t care as much about those as the Ultimate Battles.

I really love the ways this game goes its way to flesh out many characters, including by giving them Pokémon that would've been so cool for them in the mainline games, such as Necrozma to Lusamine, Giratina to Cynthia, Rayquaza to Zinnia, etc. The alt outfits, Arc Suits, Sygna Suits are all sick as well. Steven? Final boss of RSE/ORAS having his signature Pokémon get power-boosted by Arceus? and you can battle that? Silver? He gets a Ho-Oh and that Ho-Oh also gets power-boosted by Arceus? You also get to battle that Ho-Oh?

I don't like the battle system as much as I do for main series games but it has managed to provide some epic and memorable boss fights that even tend to be more difficult than individual fights mainline games have. There is also so much more story content overall. It's just that this game expects you to keep clinging on for very long and there will be a point where you're done with nearly everything until new content slowly gets added.

GO is second. It's great conceptually and I particularly love entering in raids, battling legendaries, and capturing them to collect them. Also love walking out with my favorite Pokémon on the regular. I think Masters EX has provided me an overall better experience and GO is completely dysfunctional sometimes, preventing it from taking that top spot.

i really wish pokemon duel was still a thing, because i don't think any subsequent pokemon mobile game was quite as fun for me as moving my little pokemon pieces around and strategizing how to corner my opponent, etc. there's something kind of... unique and interesting about the gameplay that wasn't quite captured in any other mobile games to this day, and i don't know if it'll ever be the case, again.
