Anyway, my favourite episode in recent memory is the haunted museum one. Cilan and Iris going all Mulder-and-Scully on each other and Ash nearly being the sane one by comparison. Yes.

Off the top of my head, the Hearthome tag battle tournament in D/P was probably my favorite, Especially Glory Blaze. Zangoose's expressions were just so unforgettably cool:

That and I just loved how well-written it was. Lots of Chimchar, Paul was the most interesting sourpuss ever as usual, and the tournament overall was definitely the best we've had imho ;_; It set my standards pretty high for tournament mini-arcs lol.

I have way too many favorite episodes. But seeing Kelleo's post, Scare at the Litwick Mansion was indeed awesome. Cilan's scream in the original was far superior to the dub one, though. XD

These will probably forever stay my two favorite eps... I'm usually not one for nostalgia, but I guess it is at least partly due to nostalgia reasons I like these two so much
I tend to like most of the "emotional" eps (like most eps a Pokémon leaves and so on), but good battles (like Ash VS Paul, Nando VS Zoey...) and crazy funny eps (evil Togepi, that Piplup ep, etc...) are great too
And DP in general is a favorite to me, especially all Dawn/Piplup/Contest or Paul/Barry episodes... also really loved the Riolu two parter

Island of the Giant Pokemon is the very first episode I watched from beginning to end, and it's still the episode I'm most fond of. It was the first time the main Pokemon were separated from their trainers, but unlike any other time this happens, there were subtitles to let the viewers understand Pokemon speech and some interesting insight on their behavior. The slapstick humour was hilarious as well.

Honourable mentions to: The Tower of Terror, Get Your Rotom Running!, Dancing With the Ducklett Trio!, Where No Togepi Has Gone Before!, Ignorance Is Blissey!, The Ash vs Gary episodes, the entire Hoenn League, the entire Sinnoh League (Minus Tobias) and many more I can't think of right now. I seem to have a thing for episodes with troublesome Pokemon.

I have waaaaaayyyyyyy too many favorite episodes. But, to name a few, Pokemon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu two-parter, and the three episodes where Ash battled Paul in the Sinnoh League. I love how Infernape, after suffering abuse from Paul as a Chimchar, was able to defeat Electivire and win the battle for Ash.

To pick only one it'd definately be "Once there were greenfields". I really found that hit me the hardest in terms of how emotional it was when James released cacnea.

Claydol, Big and Tall for Ash and James in eggplant costumes ("How does this always happen.") and Wobuffet being the Claydol's "beautiful maiden."

I was also very fond of Scare at the Litwick Mansion because those adorable candles were so very creepy (also, Cilan's infamous scream and Cilan and Iris's amusing Mulder/Scully-esque arguments), the Sinnoh Summer School arc (anything with Conway was ♥), and Beeheeyem, Duosion, and the Dream Thief for being the most hysterical Inception parody I've ever seen.
