first of all HA! I spelled poll right this time!!!!!!!!!!!

secondly tell what yo favourite pokemon manga is!
mine is Pocket Monster Special of course how bout yall?

That's surprising. I would have thought you would have chosen PiPiPi Adventures for sure.

Anyway, my favorite is Pocket Monsters because, unlike other Pokemon media, the series never ever takes itself seriously. Plus, it's pretty damn hilarious in a Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo kind of way.

Nah, MPJ's great and all, but it hardly ever delves into characters. And PokeWake manages great characterization even in such short stories.

Come to think of it, it reminds me of my storytelling style, packing a lot into a small space.

Huh. You voted for Pocket Monsters, but it didn't show up on the poll.

whats pokewake?

PokeWake is "How I Became a Pokemon Card", a six-volume series of mostly-unrelated short stories by the card artist Kagemaru Himeno.

I voted for PiPiPi. :D

oh yeah!
so where'd the Wake part come from?

It comes from the Japanese title...ポケモンカードになったわけ (Pokemon Kaado ni Natta Wake). The wake part with which people abbreviate the title of the series is the "How" part of the "How I Became a Pokemon Card" translation.

Man Dogasu, I'm glad someone else sees the appeal in the Clefairy Manga. You have nice tastes.

Really, that's the one Manga I've wanted to read.

if you want to read it just talk to grimsig

I like the Pokemon Dengeki Pikachu the best. I have such a love for the anime and seeing Kanto filler characters in a different style is just very interesting.

I also love how Toshihiro does some of the eyes. He influenced my style a lot

Dengeki pikachu is funny
but the american version is CENSORERD!
so I don't read it,
if I can get my hands on a japanese one that would be cool!

Japanese version was censored too. And they never censored the plot or characters, just a bit of the artwork. Because let's face it, boobs that big are just uncomfortable to look at.

I have a couple friends who could argue that :D
but the japanese version wasn't censored! I've read em before

Yes, it was.

There was censorship between the time it was originally printed in a magazine and the time it was collected into a graphic novel.

oh! really? thats kinda odd...
could you scan a page? so I can see how bad they edited it

We would need a copy of the magazine that it was originally printed in to offer up any comparison images. And since finding back-issues of Japanese magazines is next to impossible, the chances of that happening are very low.

yeah I have tried :D
so if you have the magazine it'd be nice, but if you don't
don't worry about it, it's all good
