When am I supposed to use threads and when am I supposed to use blogs?

I've gotten two threads closed because someone said it should have been a blog. How am I supposed to know the difference?

A lot of it depends on the topic being presented. Many subforums have restrictions on topics that can be created there. A standard rule is that a topic that would invite conversation is generally best posted as a thread. Posts that are really more opinion pieces are best posted in blogs.

If you have a specific topic you want to post but are unsure of where to put it, feel free to ask a moderator of that specific subforum for assistance.
