When are we going to get a new opening theme?

so best wishes had gone on for about fourty some episode in japan and yet we haven't see a new theme and quite frankly i getting a little bored with this one so will the theme and title change or is really gonna be a season one reboot as other people have call it and were gonna get the same song for the entire run?
 
The openings always last around a year or "52" episodes. Please be more patient.
 
There have been shorter gaps such as between Challenger and Pokémon Symphonic Medley. They do not always last around a year.
 
I'd like to see a new theme, I don't like the current one at all.
Though I'm guessing that the theme songs are going to all be like the current one from now on.
 
Together, the theme song to Diamond & Pearl, lasted 78 episodes before getting a lame remix - with no new animation - that carried us into DP 095.

It's entirely possible that we'll be stuck with Best Wishes! just as long.
 
Adding to what Dogasu said, Advance Adventure lasted 69 episodes, OK! lasted 75 episodes, and Mesaze Pokemon Master lasted 82 episodes. The first openings for each generation have always lasted well over a year. All other openings (with one exception) have lasted less than 40 episodes.

I'd say we have at least 30 episodes to go before we get a new opening.

Now, I could see the theme getting a remix and having more recent Pokemon in the opening, but I can't see it being completely replaced until at least the Episode 70 mark. And seeing as Together lasted nearly two years, we might be stuck with Best Wishes for nearly two years (God help us).
 
I like Best Wishes! It's catchy and cute D:
I'd rather stick with Best Wishes for a long time because I got sufficiently sick of Together...
 
I don't mind the music its the animation that needs to go. Seeing as there are many characters now they can make a nice opening featuring all their rivals and Pokemon they have met/have. It would be nice if it started right now while were in the Don Battle it would make more sense. I don't really find the current opening animation to have much significance after all of the Pokemon appeared from their silhouette.
 
Yeah, I don't mind the actual theme, but I'm sick of the opening. Hopefully they'll change the animation by September (the Episode 52 mark).

I do agree though that they could at least update the animation to feature newer Pokémon.
 
I hate this current opening so much, I really want a good one to come out soon.
 
Usually in the dub it changes every 30-50 episodes. I'm not sure about the original though. I think it's possible in the time after Elesa and before Clay the dub might enter a new season, unless it'll be like the first season where the entire Indigo League was fit into an entire season.
 
I could see "Best Wishes" lasting around the 70's episode mark, with or without a lame remix. I don't mind since I like the song and the animation, but they could at least show some newer scenes with new Pokemon to be revealed in it.

I largely agree with this. The song itself is fine; I'd just like some new visuals to go along with it.
 
I'm in no hurry for it to change.

Seriously, what does it matter? Just skip it (unless you're watching it live, then just turn down the volume or look at something else until it ends...) if you don't like it.....
 
This is only the 25th episode of the season so there is no reason for the dub to use a new opening theme now.

The Japanese version of the anime is still using the Best Wishes! song and animation, and they are currently around the 40th episode.

If you dislike the actual audio of the opening theme, I don't know if replacing it with another theme song will do any good. The dub really has not produced any great audio tunes since TPCI officially took over.

To answer the question of the OP, I assume the opening theme will change after the 52th episode. The dub has currently reached 25 episodes by the end of July, so the opening may either change in late January or early February next year, give or take.
